We mustn't be seeing what Estelle is doing...

We mustn't be seeing what Estelle is doing to annoy the other hm's. Yes, the bitching towards her is harsh - but would the hm's lie about her doing awkward things like talk to the mirror? Perhaps it does come across as fake - but we've not seen any of the things the hm's are annoyed with her about - which they all seem to agree on.

I've seen plenty of things she does which annoy me. In fact almost everything she does annoys me.

Hooray goroos1994! Finally someone thinking what I've been thinking for a while.
All, and I mean all the HM's at one point or another have the same complaints about Estelle. All the HM's aren't sheep going along with Michael and Ben so there must be something going on that we aren't being shown on TV. I just feel that Estelles so called "oddness" really is contrived. The Estelle that first walked into house at the beginning of BB is not the Estelle we see now. In fact she kind of remains of Aphrodite from 2004. Came in with a game plan that didn't work, changed to become a bit of an odd bod which resulted in her wearing undies on her head. In the end it didn't help her but with Estelle it seems to be working. Go figure.

Yeah, some of the things they've complained about we haven't seen. Talking to mirrors and such. I haven't seen this. It's not a bad thing if she is doing this, it may be 'strange' but it isn't necessarily playing up to anything. She could very well do it on the outside too.

Although speaking of Aphrodite she was one of those who I so wanted to stay, but there was only evict votes and she was a large enough character so she went. :( It was Terri who was constantly up that season, and didnt go because she wasn't a target. Terri would have gone first chance if that were save votes. Estelle wouldn't be in there now either I tend to think if it was evict votes ( but then Ben, and Angie wouldn't be in there still either ).

She started annoying me from the outset, as soon as she opened her mouth and started saying how unique/weird/complex she is, and then never let up on it. Everyone likes to think they're unique and complex, but most people have enough going on in their lives that they don't feel the need to constantly try and convince people of their uniqueness.

I get a major tryhard vibe from her. I think if she had just stopped talking about her uniqueness and let herself just be, the others would have been more accepting of her. Someone so intent on discussing their weirdness comes off as contrived and affected. When Estelle isn't talking about herself and how complex she is, she doesn't seem to be on the show. Sometimes I forget she's on the show until someone starts moaning about her or she starts 'rapping' and then I just feel a whole lot of second-hand embarrassment.

She reminds me of someone I know in real life who comes off equally as contrived, while being totally hung up on their own idea of how much of an individual they are.

I could care less that she does strange things like apparently talking to mirrors or whatever. Point is that she hasn't been shown or even said to be slagging other people off. Unlike a few of them that have such an issue over her for her apparent strange behavior. They see her as a threat and think bagging her out is going to have the public side with them.

I'd rather be around someone thats a bit strange in nature but harmless than someone that would say nice things to my face then have a bitch session as soon as I left the room.

Completely agree... She annoyed me from the start as well. I certainly couldn't live with her for that long before I would want to cut off my ears and or eyes. I don't think it is sheep/bullying at all. Again channel 9 not showIng is enough to make an informed opinion

Funny......Sam has complained about Estelle.
Think if Ben told him how to think he would do the complete opposite. Baa Baa.

I'll clarify what i meant, i wasn't talking about Sam being a sheep, nor Layla or Estelle because they do their own thing and act how they want to. The sheep/minions i was referring to who hang off every word Ben and Michael say and pander to their every whim is Zoe, Stacey and Angie for the most part.

They pick on Estelle because she does not join their bitching sesions. She makes them feel bad about what they are doing, just like in real life. They are using anything she does to complain about.

They hate Estelle because she isnt like them. And talking to a mirror is nothing compared to the nasty things Ben, Michael and Stacy say.

What's wrong with talking to a mirror?

If I looked as gorgeous as Estelle, I'd be talking to a mirror. Hell, I'd even kiss it :p

I think you've hit the nail on the head. We've seen Ben express some self-awareness regarding everyone's behaviour toward Estelle, but it hasn't been consistent. Michael seems to be bitching about Estelle so much that it's wearing off on Ben.

I hardly see how her acting silly is any different than Ben, Stacey and Michael? Just because they think they are better, it makes them immune to the same judgement?

Also, NEWSFLASH, all of the roommates have hammed it up for the cameras, and looked at them directly.

I can understand how some may be annoyed by her, but this amount of hatred is ridiculous.

Why is it Ok for us the viewers and fans to be able to comment and bitch about every housemate and have in depth personal opinions on them but then attack when the housemates do it?

I think they clearly are just exaggerating everything because they don't like her.

I get the impression they are frustrated she's still there, which means they get more annoyed with her. She's the most nominated, yet still there. She's a symbol of their lack of control and a big insecurity for them at how they would fair if they were nominated as much.

I don't for a second believe Angie was ever being honest and accurate when she's described Angie playing up for the cameras. I think every now and then we just see Estelle entertaining herself.

There's also a strong undercurrent of, "don't label me, put me with Estelle." So I think house mates are constantly trying to clarify, "i am not friends with Estelle, don't consider me one." As a way of keeping their position.

This is the exact reason I find Estelle hard to like. I don't care if she behaves somewhat weirdly. The moments I cringe are the ones where she talks about the kind of person she is - basically anyone who has to discuss at great lengths "I'm the type of person who..." will annoy me beyond words. Yeah, we get it that you don't bitch about people, you're 'different' etc. Boooo-ring. Nothing more embarrassing than discussing how special and unique you are with a completely straight face.

You mean like Ben and Michael do?
