US 2016 Presidential Election

ah its ok. I have admit I used to enjoy talking with Reepy, but as of late he and I don't really see eye to eye on much, so I don't blame him for not liking me.
Yes. I don't know what happened. But he is almost possible to talk to any more. Oh well.

Inigo inspired me to open my eyes beyond my previous narrow leftist viewpoint. That is what happened. I mean she is a very persuasive Trump supporter, young Mooseface. All I had to do was just accept that my reality was wrong and that hers had more basis in fact.

Why is your swing to the right only for America though - you still seem to not like Abbott who was the closest to Trump we have had in Australia?

Thought you may find this interesting. Not necessarily to agree/disagree with just in your fields of interest since you like psychology etc http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/he...h/news-story/514864631040895478867a1cc9c8528f
I am internally conflicted about the idea of experts weighing in on his mental health status, as I can kinda understand both the reason why thy might, and the risks involved with doing so.

Abbott was a weak excuse for a leader who only cared for his rich buddies. Trump cares for the working poor.

Plus Abbott is pro trade.

Also if Abbott was like Trump then Inigo would have mentioned it. And i would have remembered that because i have the most amazing memory concerning her. i remember witty saying that i was a inigo google when we were talking about her using her Voldemort alias. it scares me.

anyway, i am not a fan of diagnosing people over the internet. besides i have but one question to ponder: Is Mooseface a cousin of Moonface?

The thing with Abbott was that he is just another one of our leaders who thinks Australia is shit and always will be an inferior country. This is like most of our leaders, our goal is to support stronger, better countries. Our leaders used to do it with Britain, we were there to server them. Now it moved to America.

Trump isn't anti-trade, he is pro trade which helps America. Our polies like Abbott are pro trade even if it disadvantages Australia. We have a trade deficit with the USA, since our free trade agreement that got worse. To people like Abbott and Sir Turnbull that is apparently a good thing. So much so they refuse to do cost benefit analysis on trade deals which historically tend to be worse off for Australia. Have to serve the free trade gods, with restrictions that mean they aren't free trade and we're in a weaker negotiating position but a few industries in important seats may benefit. Fuck the industries that can compete, they're always excluded. We're never protectionist but sign deals with countries that are and get screwed royally. That's what happens when our leaders still think we're just a colony here to support our overlords.

ah yeah, that is what i meant by trade. Trump wants to make sure that trade deals benefit American workers. which i feel is an admirable goal to have.

I listen to Howard Stern who knows Trump, doesn't support a lot of his beliefs and was a strong Hillary supporter. He was saying that while he disagrees with Trump on many things, he knows Trumps intentions are good. Trump does actually want to do the right thing.

Which I think is lost on some people, Trump genuinely does want to make America great again. The problem is, even if his attempts are wrong, people are running with a narrative that Trump wants to destroy it all.

The problem is he is a political ignoramus who shoots his mouth off because he cannot stand criticism and he doesn't have a clue about the job he has just taken on. Good intentions don't count in politics. And because it's the US, it's not just his country he is putting in peril, it's the whole world. If he starts a war, the chances are he'll do it accidentally by running his mouth off about things he knows nothing about.

Yes, that is right. He does want to make America great. He wants to do the right thing. He wants to create jobs and lift the poor working class of America into a better cycle of living. He wants to look out for the little person, the one that has been shut out by decades of Government greed and wall street worshiping. But there are the stick in the mud leftists and sore loser media who want to make sure the Trump presidency is a disaster.

Intent is admirable if genuine and achievable. I question the genuine based on the fact he has never showed interest in lifting the working class previously or he wouldn't have hogged so much money, Been so cut throat in paying workers or gone off shore for cheap manufacturing as a businessman. If i got into a relationship with someone who had never remained faithful previously, it is only natural to be weary and not trust whole heartedly until trust is earnt.

That was back when Trump was looking out for the interests of his own business. And yes he did play dirty, but he did what he had to do to survive. it is a kill or be killed world out there isee. there is no room for love or kindness anymore. only pain and suffering. anger and hurt. Trump knows this. He knows this is a cruel world with no hope of light. that we are all stumbling around in the darkness. which is why he will continue his way of doing business with his new company: America.

Steve Bannon, infamously declared that news media should “keep its mouth shut and just listen for a while.”
Senior policy adviser Stephen Miller declared on CBS’ “Face The Nation” that “our opponents, the media and the whole world will soon see as we begin to take further actions, that the powers of the president to protect our country are very substantial and will not be questioned.”

What you do “will not be questioned?” Lord, have mercy. That’s the kind of statement that, in another time and place, would have been greeted with an out-thrust palm and a hearty “Sieg heil!” Here in this time and place, however, it demands a different response:

Just who the hell do you think you are?

I know, too, that you’re accustomed to being emperor of your own fiefdom. Must be nice. Your name on the wall, the paychecks, the side of the building. You tell people to make something happen, and it does. You yell at a problem, and it goes away. Nobody talks back. I can see how it would be hard to give that up.

But you did. You see, you’re no longer an emperor, Mr. So-Called President. You’re now what is called a “public servant” — in effect, an employee with 324 million bosses. And let me tell you something about those bosses. They’re unruly and loud, long accustomed to speaking their minds without fear or fetter. And they believe power must always answer to the people. That’s at the core of their identity.

Yet you and your coterie of cartoon autocrats think you’re going to cow them into silence and compliance by ordering them to shut up and obey?

the media are going to do a wonderful job of making sure Trump gets re-elected in 2020 with all the pathetic bitching they are doing.
