Despite all the lack of content and live feeds we still continue to watch, but unlike the last few series, I've simply stopped voting, and catch maybe every second, to third show. Between recaps taking over half the show, and slow content, I find i'm not missing much of the "story" at all. I was suprised they were still showing the Clawson thing.
But if the HM's... whoops sorry... "cast" are that active, I think its only fair we get to see them. I realise it's gotta be family friendly, but surely they aren't all sitting around swearing their heads off all day. Maybe the other stories are boring, sure, but thats upto us to decide.

Massive contradiction from Alex Mavroidakis.
In the article he is quoted as having said, "we cast the house completely and utterly on personalities."
Yet 3mins 45secs into his "Behind Big Brother" interview with Benjamin Norris he says "Chris (Blackburn) & I turn around about 27 times a day (to the 2 female casting producers) and say 'is he hot? is he hot? is he hot?' and if they say 'no' then you're out and if they say 'yes' then they're in." So are Alex & Chris casting on personality (like the article says) or looks (like the video says). See for yourself btw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?list=...feature=player_detailpage&v=WX21l0OVT4M#t=223

You missed the point @positive_dude.
I don't think I did though. I mean I hear what you're saying. I just think you used a poor example to back up your point.
It's certainly not deceitful not to show us any more Travis and Aisha being lovey dovey with one another. If we're going to use that as a hard and fast example, I completely agree with the decision they have made. I have seen enough of them to know that they are an item. I don't need to see them lying around cuddling or kissing any more. It's not as if either Travis or Aisha are not getting other air time. In fact if they did show us their inane 'couple' time I would say it was a waste of time.
Alex lies. That is what he does. Big Brother is only made for his own benefit. He thinks he knows best. That delusion will soon fall. His eyes will be wide open. Alex don't come crying to us when the show is not brought back next year. YOU killed it all for your selfish needs. A good executive producer would successfully know how to follow storylines and have comprehensive editing. Peter Abbot and Kris Noble (even though he was a bit of a jerk) managed to successfully run BB for many years. Obviously this show was too much for you to handle. BUT if you are not to blame and the Nine Network is the culprit than YOU should have fought harder to keep the show in its original and true format.
Anyway...
Now this "too many stories" claim is bullshit and just a lame reason for "bad" ratings. Why are we getting repeated recaps, cutting onions, dogs doing random things and sanctuary footage repeated again and again then if there were so many stories going on in the house?

when it gets cancelled next year I guarantee you Alex will say, "well what did you expect? we never had a stable time-slot" lol well you don't have a stable time-slot coz you don't have any viewers! the second the benefits stop outweighing the means this show is goneski!Alex lies. I'm telling your husband.
great idea!If there are 3-4 stories happening why can't you show about half an hour of each story.
So that takes up 2 hours & you can have half an hour of the other stuff at the end.
I think they are trying to turn it into something that it isn't, wasn't and never can be... Ie, another cheater cheaterson storyline. They're even struggling to tell the one story they are letting us see. How many more times are they going show us "what happened in the sanctuary"?
Dull as fkn dishwater. BBOORRRING.

Out of interest why is BB on so late this year? Did they struggle to get a proper slot with the block on and all? Bb pretty much set reality TV up give it the respect it deserves, please!!
This show is prime for advertising and worthwhile in getting a huge swath of age bracket to ch. 9. ( i very rarely watch ch 10 these days!), so the benifits go a long way for the channel yet it seems to be getting low priority against all the other shite on offer.
Sure the programming at 9 is very messed up and mismanaged this year to get so many unpredictable slots for the show...but somebody there needs to step in there and take charge if they want to correct this major f up.
Cut some Big Bang repeats, make better use of Go!, the possibilities are endless. It is so absurdly mismanaged and people are complaining left right and center about the exact same things, seems this is all being ignored by ch 9 and their social media person is only to happy to run just another "what really happened in the tub that night " without an flying fuck about the predictable barrage of comments due to follow...
Wake up ch 9!

Alex says the older cast usually go first, yet a 52 year old Terri won BB08.
Terri did go out first, but that was too early for Ten, so she went back in with Corey.

Because it was setup for her to win.
She was a regular caller to the Kyle & Jackie O show, and they were the hosts that year.

Doesn't Australia have something like the FCC to make sure stuff like this doesn't happen?

If there are so many "stories" why does each episode revolve around tasks and events? If there's so much going on, why regurgitate HMs from last year as "special" guests? Back in the day, BB wasn't about storylines, it was just a bunch of diverse, interesting people sitting around telling anecdotes, having a laugh, butting heads, just being themselves; and it was totally entertaining and engrossing. Even nominations, which is one of the most interesting aspects of the game, where the HMs reveal more of themselves to the audience and you can see whether they're strategic or duplicitous, is being totally downplayed this season as though it's getting in the way of the staged events and tasks.
As for “I really liked the first couple of nights of the series," that's funny, because we barely saw anything of those integral first days when people begin to find their place in the social structure of the house. And if "...romance is not the big thing of Big Brother," why contrive storylines and give it so much air time? So many glaring inconsistencies in that interview - we're being fed a big steaming pile of bullshit.

Yeah, I don't think he was actually listening to himself while he was saying that.

Back In the good old days, the most interesting hm interactions happened when they were all so bored they would go stir crazy. Then they start up things to entertain themselves, try and make deals with bb for a football or a treat, argue, drama and entertainment would happen organically. Now it's like a kindy playground where every minute they are being force fed entertainment, have good food, no fines, no punishments, no playing with their heads and get treated like they are in a resort. Hence boring TV. It's time bb went away on holidays again just to see what they do.
But then it probably wouldn't matter what they did, well only get to see more repeats of the same bath footage we've already see 20 times.
