I think this is going to be a major downfall.
I've been a Tim fan from Day 0, and for me this move seems pathetic.
Not a good choice on his behalf. Not sure what he's thinking, what's everyone's thoughts on it?
That's all it is, a move and a pathetic one at that. If the lovely Jade had just a little bit of improvisational skills, she would have pretended not only that she is open to Tim's advances, but that she's had the hots for him all this time, but lacked the courage to show him. Oh, Drew and Ed were just a convenience to cover up her real feelings for HIM - Tim. Had she really played it cleverly so that Tim would have thought she was about to jump his bones, does anyone really think Tim would have done anything but rruuunnn...?
And these are of course variations on a theme... why is it that we haven't seen Tim shocked yet? None of the HMs seem to have any imagination. All it would take is to NOT agree with him and let him KNOW. Don't let him get away with interrupting and talking over you (as he ALWAYS does), challenge him with ideas that are completely out of his comfort zone... there are dozens of ways to throw him off balance in every given situation yet, the HMs bide their time... waiting... for WHAT??He would have been shocked, that is for sure. I don't we have seen a shocked Tim yet. It would have been interesting.

Well, in that case, CH 9 should do the right thing by its viewers, have a 'Mass-Eviction' - get rid of ALL the HMs except Tim of course, and call it officially "The Tim Show" already. Seing that the majority of the public find him 'entertaining', I don't see why he would need other HMs as props. They're not biding their time. They, like Jade, don't know how to handle Tim - unfortunately for the viewers.

Yep. A couple of them (Jade and Drew) have worked out exactly what he's doing but none of them can actually stop him. They know it too. Jade knew right away that Tim taking her to the PS was about getting to Ed. I don't think her leaving the bracelet on his pillow was even purely a romantic thing like they tried to imply. Ed had words to her that day about Tim trying to manipulate her to turn on him. I think the bracelet was more a "don't worry, I won't let him manipulate me into turning on you" type of thing.
The only reason Tim wants Jade is because she is the only single girl he had not kissed in the house. He said so himself to a bunch of people in the bedroom. Did anyone pick up on this?
Interesting. But I think Dystopia's approach would have been a better one. She could have been in control.

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Tim is not even that into Jade, she is just a hot chick that he wants to creep on because he is stuck in a deluxe prison for 90+ days.
Oh for sure. I'm just saying how I read it. I think her constant Ed talk was certainly intentional. She wanted to make it clear to him from the beginning that she wasn't going to turn on Ed so any attempts Tim made were pointless. I really doubt once Tim took the hint she kept talking about Ed. Tim himself said they talked about Ed for about an hour. They were in there for 12+ hours.
I certainly agree that she could have taken control off him by pretending to be keen as well. Tim wouldn't have expected that. I'm picturing that episode of Friends where Chandler and Phoebe pretended to be into one another to get the other to crack. However I'm sure Jade would have been extremely aware how that could have backfired and not only made her look bad to Ed, but the audience too. She copped enough shit for seeming desperate over Ed, but could you imagine the uproar if she had have made a move on Tim after already copping so much over the Ed/Drew stuff? While intelligent viewers would have worked out what she was doing, the mass would be throwing the words "slut" all over social media.
Either way she was screwed as soon as he invited her to PS and she knew it too. Hence her attempts to tell him not to.
she knew what Tim was up to and kept talking about Ed to make her intentions clear. Similar to Drade in the early days, when she kept calling Drew her friend repeatedly.

Yeah, which is why I kind of scratch my head when people say that Jade was stringing Drew along so she could fall back on him if Ed rejected her. I thought she made it pretty bloody obvious that she saw him as a friend. She told him where they stood, if Drew was unhappy with her flirting with him then that was his problem. He didn't have to spend so much time around her...and he did until Tully got in his ear.
Same as what she did with Tim. She might have looked pathetic talking about Ed so much but she got the point across.
Great post! Makes a lot of sense and I can see that the bracelet thing was more of a he-won't-manipulate-me sort of thing like you said rather than a proclamation of love lol. Jade is definitely more perceptive than people think, she knew what Tim was up to and kept talking about Ed to make her intentions clear. Similar to Drade in the early days, when she kept calling Drew her friend repeatedly.
she is perceptive with everyone else but ED
