She told jade to open up to ed more, she then told Tim how she encouraged jade to keep open up to ed. she was laughing behind her back. This is how I took it. I don't remember the finer details, but I remember she was setting a plan in motion to set jade up. She was threatened she would go so set someone else to take the punch, whether it was jade or not, she was being selfish that is how I remember it

Yes, that was the start for me of seeing the nasty side of Mikkayla. The pleasure she gets when she does things like that.

Please point me to this, because I don't recall it at all. As for the stupid bracelet incident - Mikkayla neither encouraged or discouraged Jade - she was sent on a mission to find out Ed's reaction - an uncomfortable position to be put in & therefore, reacted the way she did - not a big deal & just being used as an excuse in the Mikkayla hate. It is probably very hard to judge relationships & real feelings in there, so none of this is too surprising to me.

It is exactly as Sweet_Geek described it. There's over 100 hundred hours of footage filmed thus far and I'm certainly not going over it to sate your need for authenticity, you'll just have to trust those that do remember that scene.
And for most people that do remember there was no doubt that Mikk was purposely egging on Jade to pursue Ed to amuse herself. That convo with Tim had a nasty mocking undertone regarding Jade's obsession with Ed, no ifs or buts.

Yeah I don't remember it either. But you're right, BIG DEAL...who cares. If youre going to try to convince people to hate Mikk, please come up with better examples than the jade/ed situation.

I can't be bothered looking for it tbh, I'm hopeless with this stuff.
It would be hard living under those circumstances, but from watching it, some re better than others in coping with it.
I'll assume this was aimed at me. I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything thank you! Also, everyone is stating things that bother them about a hm, just because it is a hm you like all of a sudden it's a big deal and I must be doing rounds of converting others. Look at the thread title- it's not exactly a mikkayla appreciation thread!

The 'BIG DEAL...who cares' cliché most of us have left behind in the schoolyard. It's not conducive to any kind of debate. This is NOT about convincing people to hate Mikk, it is about an event that many of us clearly remember, hence the mention in the first place. Just because YOU don't remember it - or choose not to remember it doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Mikk was not put into an uncomfortable position, she relished the thought of being involved in the bracelet incident. I always thought Jade's idea was a silly one, but Mikk happily agreed... then when the moment of revelation came, Mikk telling Ed about the token Jade had left, she span the whole thing out of proportion and to her own advantage.
I am certain that up to that point, most of those who by now have developed a thorough dislike for Mikk, still liked Mikk for who she was.

That was directed at everyone trying to make this small issue into a big issue. She didn't make fun of anyone's weight, she didn't wish for someone to die in a hole etc. All I see is someone that's been put in an awkward position by a friend who has a crush on a guy and didn't know how to respond. I mean what is the big deal? What is going on between Ed and Jade have nothing to do with Mikkayla. Jade is dragging her into it. I'm sorry if I just dont see what all the fuss is about

I genuinely don't remember seeing it (the ep where Mikkayla told Jade to pursue Ed and then made fun of her to Tim) Do you know what week it might've been on? coz I don't mind looking it up.
Why do you assume Mikkayla relished the thought of being involved in the bracelet incident? Jade went to Mikk not the other way around. Jade dragged her into an awkward situation so to get upset at anything Mikkayla said, as a result of being in that situation, is very unfair. Like I said theres a lot of things to complain about with Mikkayla but this is just not one of them.

At the time Jade still had three girl friends or minions as they were appropriately known: The Silly Sisters and Mikkayla. Jade found it prudent to confide in one of her minions about having left the bracelet under Ed's pillow... just in case he'd miss it. Now who would you have confided in - the Silly Sisters? Surely not. Mikk was the answer. Little did naïve Jade know what a two-faced, scheming little devil Mikkayla really is.
Mikk was NOT dragged into this, Jade informed Mikk about the bracelet and her intention and Mikk practically jumped at the opportunity to a)perhaps reassure her loyalty toward Jade and b)the opportunity to use this little episode to her own advantage.
My use of the word 'relish' previously is almost an understatement as Mikk really jumped at the opportunity. Now, after so many weeks, I cannot recall the exact exchange of words between Jade and Mikk, when Jade explained her intentions. Nor do I recall the exact verbal exchange between Mikk and Ed when Mikk pointed out the token to Ed. But what Mikk said to Ed was far removed from what Jade had wanted, and Mikk relished, yes relished in her opportunity to put a spin on an actually trivial incident.
That Mikk found it necessary to deviously distort an otherwise innocent, albeit silly incident for no apparent reason but her own confused perception of the game served as the catalyst for me to thoroughly dislike her.
I'd like to point out, that I was a Mikkayla supporter from the very beginning. If you have the time and inclination, you will find an old post of mine where I refer to Mikkayla, Jade and Tahan as 'Dystopia's Angels'.
Tahan is the only one still standing - nuff said.
It is obvious from the coverage shown on Mikkayla that the producers don't want her around. Rather than relying on heavily editted snippets shown by BBAU, you guys need to listen to what other HM are actually saying.
Mikkayla has never been nominated for being fake, manipulative or mean. No HMs have ever called her nasty. How do you explain this clip?

OK I really don't feel this at all, I believed that Mikkayla was only trying to help Jade's relationship with Ed not damage her.
Stop looking at the situation too deeply!
Mikkayla is a loyal friend. She gave advice to Jade with dealing with Ed, she did not at all laugh at Jade or went behind her back. she wasn't being manipulative, she was just being nice!
