Tim is BBAU version of Survivors Rob Cesternino

OH thanks. You need to be a crazy survivor fan like myself to understand. But basically Rob was the first player in Survivor to play what is considered the modern way of playing the game.
Crazy survivor fan here :) I agree with you about Rob C /Tim. I loved Rob on Survivor, but don't enjoy his podcasts/interview things that he does these days. It feels to "I'm a celebrity" to me.

I don't remember Cesternino
LOL how can you not remember Rob Cesternino??

I was listening to a radio interview this morning with Tim and the DJ's asked Tim if there were any other reality TV shows he would like to be on and Tim said Survivor.

Tim would also love Survivor with all the wildlife:)
Rob and Amber met on survivor and got married, also went on The Amazing Race...
It would be funny if Tim and Drew could go in Aust's The Amazing Race together next year, although it's not shown on ch9.

One of the guys who was on the Aust The Amazing Race, also got to be a contestant on Aust Celebrity Apprentice, plus Layla last years runner up on BB, ended up on Aust Celebrity Apprentice this year.

Oh I love Boston Rob in general, and on Survivor and he was an absolute hoot on TAR, and I watched the wedding, and even tried watching that crappy travel around the world in all types of transport thing on youtube -sucked & I gave up.

He does remind me more of Drew, with his charm and charisma.

I liked cesterino but I don't go in depth into how/who/what is played and sure don't recall that far back.

I used to get so tired in past seasons of people only saying they were there for the "experience" and pretend they didn't care about the money - I'm glad someone who went in there to play the game actually won.

I agree. Boston Rob was the best ever Survivor player. God I loved that guy. He was smart, cunning, charismatic and good looking to boot. Rob knew it was a game and played it so well. I remember when he won........my heart was racing, jumping up and down and fist pumping. He was THE Puppet Master.

Tim also has seen BB for what it is....a game. You have to outwit, outplay n outlast ur HMs. Diary Room chats is where he connects with the viewers. Totally agree with his one liners........very funny, outrageous and true.

I'm actually sad that BB is turning into Survivor, as much as I love survivor I don't want BB to become survivor.
I like both shows for the opposite reason.

rob was great, love love loved him. Would love to see timmy on TAR or Survivor, and drew (minus tully).

Boston Rob kicked his ass in the All-Star season though.

Rob C was what 2nd or 3rd voted out in all stars I would not call that getting his ass kicked. Maybe if both robs made it to the merge then B. Rob voted out Rob c then you could say he got his ass kicked.

Ummm..he got rid of him before he could do anything.
And he was totally blindsided, even he acknowledged that.

Not likely.

And it is very weird. I puzzled over this for a bit.
We are so competitive at sport -we compete way, way beyond ourselves.

As long as they call it a 'game' and they live together, we will always be too nice, and too much like it's a team in the house
to get to Survivor like playing.

We play games as kids, and we are taught to play fair and be good sports.

We play sports as adults, and we quite like being ruthless and exceptionally gifted in the DNA and fresh air and fit department.

Call it a game - and it feels instinctive to be good sports.
Call it a sport - Tahan tried to play like an athlete, almost.

Would be kind of cool if they tried a sporty Celeb BB. Get some cool retirees, recent, and lets see how they play a quick 2 week 'sport'of BB.
