The voting system...

So I'm confused... Are we voting to save a pair or an individual?

The OS says: "SMS Skye OR Lisa"

There are 8 pairs.. It's a 10 week show... There will prolly be intruders and a double eviction.

So I'm guessing even if you just text 1 HM's name, both get evicted still?

You can send either name and the vote goes towards that pair.
The pair with the lowest votes to save are then placed head to head and the house get to decide which of the 2 is evicted.
 
Oh really?!?! That's the first I've heard of the Head to Head thing? And then how is it only going to run for 10 weeks??
 
Okay so to clear it up, as far as we know, the voting system will work like this:

The pair with the least amount of save votes by the public on Tuesday will face their fellow HM's who will then vote to evict one of them face-to-face. The one half of a pair with the most votes by the rest of the HM's will be evicted alone.

As we know, this twist was first trialled back in BB08 and it didn't work. Chances are it probably won't work again, but it's likely to only be this way for the first few weeks anyway. As soon the pairs are split (which will probably be soon, knowing BBAU) it'll all go back to normal.

Sonia explained this very briefly the other night, but it hasn't actually been mentioned again at all. It just goes to show how little the viewers are being told about anything this year - very bad move.
 
I probably shouldn't use the term head to head. I just mean it will come down to those 2 but only 1 will go.
Well this is what was implied at the very end of last night's episode at least.
Personally I don't understand how it will work since there will be 1 person without a partner unless they make a group of 3. Or just let the pairs thing fizzle out like most of their other twists within the first few weeks..
 
If that's how voting is going to be done some uncomfortable times ahead for Housemates. I guess they just have to remember it is a game. Winner takes all
 
Seems interesting to me. I like it! I hope the vote to evict once the least loved pair is known gets really snarky and full on. Should be good TV!

Also very good for the production as surely double the amount of people will be voting to save each week, as double the contestants are up each week. And their cherry on top is only one gets evicted so there are still plenty of people left to vote to save again the next week.

Not sure how they will handle the extra person that is left over. Maybe they will become HOH...
 
It also important to mention that there is a 'Monday Save Show' where lines will be frozen and the pair with the most save votes will saved from eviction. After the show lines will reopen for the remaining three pairs.

I am predicting that there will be a low number of votes this year because from what I can see both here and on Facebook there is more complaining than support for the housemates. Nine and the producers will be to blame when the show gets cancelled again this year.
 
So only one will get evicted?? I am so confuse! I read @Goon saying there is more twists to come and he's usually my little ray of hope for better things to come but some of this shit BB comes up with just messes with my head double time

I would not have known the housemates had the final decision if it was not for you guys here. It was very briefly mentioned in the phone line numbers last night and I wouldn't blame anyone if they missed the quick mention by Mike.

Lots of people will be shocked on Tuesday when the eviction happens and see their votes were a waste of time. :rolleyes:

Yep. And as suggested previously looks like pairs are only for this week.

2014):

Each pair will nominate other pairs for eviction from the Big Brother house. When voting opens, you will be able to submit a vote to save your favourite pair from eviction.

The pairs nominated for eviction will be announced in Program on Wednesday nights. The pairs up for eviction and eligible for voting will be confirmed on the Program Website and the Facebook Page during the Monday Save Show, the pair with the most votes at the end of that vote period will be reprieved from eviction by viewer vote. The voting will then re-open and viewers will be able to cast their vote for the pairs that are still eligible for voting as confirmed in –show, on the Program Website and the Facebook Page.

The pair with the least number of votes will be evicted from the Big Brother house during Tuesday Eviction Night.

Voting Weeks 2 -9:

I'm still wondering though if somehow there are 2 HM's evicted... one from each of the bottom 2 pairs, and the 2 remaining HM's become a new pair?..unless there will be a single person for week who maybe becomes the new HOH?

Btw, thats so stupid that means on Mondays the HM's will know who had the highest vote?
