THE VIRUS 2020 - the good, the bad, and the ugly

LOL... we obviously have experienced socialism in very different ways. Considering that Australia, like most Western countries is ruled by the Left MSM, I am not surprised that the fallout of the riots in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney has been swept under the carpet. How is it possible that during those mass gatherings no infections occurred?

Those rioters are ALL socialists.

Being the state with the highest concentration of socialists is not the same as a 'state of socialists'.

We know the riots unlike America, didn't spread the virus here. It came from underpaid, underskilled, possible utterly stupid hotel quarantine guards. Who were hired from a never-ending loop of people taking their cut and contracting out to get the lowest common denominator hired for the lowest wage to fill those roles.

People need to get outside of the US bubble of politics and trying to apply it to Australia.

Even if you think there's lies or coverups, think, look at where the outbreaks occurred. Does that really look like the suburbs where Melbourne Uni educated, socialist alliance people would be living?

I have seen this on Facebook and thought I would share here

Before we get too hung up on blaming the state govt, or the federal govt, or China for our covid situation let’s review some facts :

1. We had to bring in mandatory quarantining in hotels, because we couldn’t trust people to stay home after returning from overseas.
2. We then had to bring in security, because we couldn’t trust people to stay in those hotels.
3. We then had to bring in ADF, because we couldn’t trust the security guards not to mingle with those in quarantine in the hotels.
4. We had to get police to door knock and check up on people, because we couldnt trust those who were meant to be self-isolating to actually stay at home.
5. We also have to have police and ADF reinforce the metropolitan melb zone and state borders, because we can’t trust people to follow the restrictions.
6. We are now being asked to use masks, because we cannot trust people to social distance when they are in public.
7. Through it all, our supermarkets have had to introduce shopping restrictions because we couldn’t trust people to not to take more than what they needed.

So we can get as mad as we want at politicians or health officials, or the country where the virus originated, but essentially it’s our own fault that we find ourselves here. Selfishness and lack of empathy seems to be as much of a disease as covid itself.

The quicker people start following directions, the quicker this situation will improve
.

South Australia is now starting to see community transmission cases. We are now having to start restricting what we do too.
I had no idea anything this sensible could turn up on Facebook :jawdrop:

The blame lies with us and us alone. For decades we have been living recklessly and selfishly, chasing the phantom of yet a better, easier life with more money, food, clothes and cars. Everything we buy has to be bigger and cheaper and we need to show that we have more than the neighbour.

This has left us with the gradual destruction of natural habitat, depleted natural resources, poisoned soil, air and water and an ever increasing health bill.
As a species we have become physically weak and mentally fragile... to put it mildly. Despite claims to the contrary, we are not better educated, healthier and happier than those who came before us.

The condition on our planet and in our lives are NOT improving.

To return to 'normal' is not an option after this pandemic. 'Normal' didn't work, it almost destroyed us and our planet. So I will go boldly where no man has gone before and say: "This is the pandemic we had to have."

...sure, it kills and causes great suffering in some communities. On the upside, the global birth rate has decreased, in cities like Beijing and Delhi people were able to see a blue sky for the first time in many years and some animal species seem to be recovering.
There are even rumours that some people are reading literature again and some are studying a foreign language or are learning a musical instrument! Those rumours are still unsubstantiated and we are awaiting confirmation. 😎

Didn't the outbreak also happen because people were being forced to go into work by their bosses even though they were sick?

We DON'T know that, that's my point.

It came from underpaid, underskilled, possible utterly stupid hotel quarantine guards. Who were hired from a never-ending loop of people taking their cut and contracting out to get the lowest common denominator hired for the lowest wage to fill those roles.
Agreed we KNOW that. But it did not ONLY come from those.

People need to get outside of the US bubble of politics and trying to apply it to Australia.
Absolutely right! Now let's examine just WHO those are that import US ideas and mannerisms into Australia...

Even if you think there's lies or coverups, think, look at where the outbreaks occurred. Does that really look like the suburbs where Melbourne Uni educated, socialist alliance people would be living?
Are you saying that only a University education gives us entitlement to be ignorant an stupid?

As far as I am aware, they can track the genetics of the outbreaks as part of the tracing. This has apparently shown them coming from hotel quarantine.

I am using a stereotype of the kind of people who'd go virtue signal and protest BLM during a pandemic. I saw a bunch on my facebook friends list. None of them are from the areas or the demographics where the outbreaks occurred.

Not good. But masks wearing was mandatory on 23rd of July? Will take 15 days or so from there to see if its application has a real implication.
