The thing with this is. To be honest, we all can understand on some level if they feel in love, or had strong feelings and so forth. There is an element of, yes they should wait. However they are isolated. There's an element of, you really should wait because everyone is watching back home. Which makes it way worse for Lawson's girlfriend.
Part of the problem is, we've seen this develop.
Cat likes a guy with a boyfriend, she knows he's out of bounds and she should hold it. She however didn't. She still pursued him against the advice of a lot of people in the house. Even Lawson seems to have made it clear that nothing can happen.
Clearly he had an interest and was totally aware about how messed up the situation is. He then put up the faintest barriers and still encouraged her.
It's just interesting the whole,
'this is wrong'
'this can't happen'
going to blurred lines, was the line crossed
to then 'what have we done' Lawson crying and so forth
then back to before and now finally to giving into emotion.
It's just an interesting narrative. Both are to blame. It's just interesting because neither of them cared to or tried to actually respect the third parties feelings.
'Oh he has a girlfriend' - continues to act the same way, allowing herself to be more in love
'nothing can happen as I have a girlfriend' - Didn't change his relationship and behavior and actually got closer to cat
The outside party seems to really have just been a stumbling block due to the fact there are TV cameras. I have no doubt if they were together, not broadcast, not a thought would have been places to the girlfriend. It all unfolded in a very much, 'oh no i'm on TV, he/I have a girlfriend.'
