my years of watching Americas next top model have taught me conventionally pretty does not necessarily equal international model. It seems many models have a quirk or an almost caricature type feature (eg Lana and her eyes!) So for David the cheekbones may be what got him the modelling jobs. Although funnily enough the best pic to me in the post above is the one on the boat, where his cheekbones are not prominent.Does David really look like an international model?

Oh ok. I just ask because i have no idea what constitutes good looking in a man.
i think judging by different responses in this thread there is no definitive answer to that, the same way there is no definitive answer of what is good looking in a woman... it all depends on taste, and often (i think anyway) a persons personality can effect how good looking a person may be to another.Oh ok. Very true. I know I have become more attracted to this person when i have talked to them and gotten to know them better.
And I have had vice versa, i thought a guy was hot until i saw some horrible attitudes and the way he spoke to people, and he became very ugly to me thenVery true. I know I have become more attracted to this person when i have talked to them and gotten to know them better.

Yep. I agree. Can happen opposite way.
agreed with regard to the quirk and there not being a standard "type" ... for instance there is that model with a humungous space between her two front teeth ... conventionally people try to fix that - its seen as a flaw ... but she gets work because of that 'difference'my years of watching Americas next top model have taught me conventionally pretty does not necessarily equal international model. As I was heading out, I saw a teaser for a segment on a Current Affair, so stood and watched as they chased Michael around a carpark trying to shame him about his slight exaggerations re his sporting history, and featured all these seriously angry shaming tweets from sports peeps - it was really awful. Michael didn't really say anything, just looked a little embarrassed and tense. (Of course, Channel Nine would be slathering at the bit to do this, anything to disparage their new competitor, Ten.)
The poor fucker - but at least he is taking some of the heat off David the International Model. The 'press' are being really horrible towards him. It's like a shark feeding frenzy. God help the poor sucker who has anything seriously bad to yet be uncovered in his past...
Yeah I think it's a little overboard. It seems to be all about him mentioning playing for the socceroos when he was only ever with the young socceroos and olyroos. I have to wonder if it was production that encouraged him to just say socceroos because most people probably don't know the difference between the three. Plus the fact everyone's having a go at him for only being on bench is a bit harsh IMO. I mean to be picked for the team is an achievement in itself and he's a goalie which are rarely substituted.

- kayne_buikYou know you have awesome mates when they take notice of all the #BacheloretteAU fans saying " OMG I thought it said Kanye " and then do this for me #truerespect

I feel sorry for Michael that he gets the Current Affair treatment while owl-Drew's 'sleep technician' job description doesn't even raise an eyebrow.

I'd have being at the Sydney Olympics as a highlight even if I didn't play - he still would've got to do the opening and closing ceremonies and interact with amazing athletes. I know with relays in swimming, even if you are only in the heats, if the team gets a medal, you get one two. Should we be trolling all the swimmers who got medals but weren't in the finals as well?

I have to say though, the kind of guy I'd go for wouldn't have photos of his "ex-girlfriend and her friends in lingerie as the screensaver on his mobile" at the age of 25. Or at any age for that matter. That + "good Christian boy" is a combination that rings alarm bells for me. I know people do change as they grow up, but yeah y'all can have him.

Are nzgirls different to girls around the world?
The difference I have noticed is that they want to be in the in-crowd and that’s ok. They like to have a good time and party which is good too. I don’t see a major difference with other girls in the world, they just want to find the perfect man, have the perfect relationship and have the perfect wardrobe and that’s it.
This said to me that he was after a certain type of girl at that time, because most kiwi girls don't want to be in the in-crowd - just some like in any other city like melbourne or sydney - we are not all a bunch of Tully's ffs! And good to see that his thoughts on women are that shallow. Here's hoping that the 9 years since this article has matured his views!
And WTF is up with this double standard?
Expectations of a date?
If I took a girl out on a date I wouldn’t expect even a kiss for the first two dates. I don’t want her to touch me. I’m looking for a wife, I’m not looking for a dime store hooker. Someone who goes for the big dirty pash after the first date, I don’t want that. I hate girls who go for the big dirty pash in the corner the first night you meet them.
What’s the best way you’ve been approached by a girl?
The most interesting way, is I was just standing there and this girl just walks up to me, and I’m just talking to my mate, and she starts kissing me on the mouth, the full big pash. It must have been a dare or something. I talked to her after, that was the best way.
