The Bachelorette Australia 2018

Ali would be a teenage romance novel. She is still fumbling along and kinda immature with relationship stuff and hasn't figured things out yet.

Ali wants total commitment and the first date with each of these guys to contain a statement of intent which must "tick the boxes" by including the words "marriage" and "at least 2 kids" and "within one to two years", or she gets all panicked and lets them go. It's all about her. The guys don't even know if she's a nice person yet, why should they have to promise anything?

Surely it's much worse to promise marriage and kids on the first date, then back out of it later, than to say you're taking it as it comes, and you'll say those things when you really mean them? It's like Ali is desperate to be sold the fairytale, and if it doesn't work out she can always play the victim.

And Paddy can't possibly be anything but a plant. He has had no conversations about marriage or kids or, you know, feelings... but Ali doesn't care about that because he's just "that guy they told me to keep around until they say I can let him go".

Here all night on TEN. Bachelorette, Goggle Box, then a repeat of Blind Date which I couldn't watch the other night because there was too much on. Nothing on the other channels tonight.
