The Bachelorette 2017

Poor old Guy. It's nice she's faithful to the original crew. They are really serving it, too. That was the funniest cocktail party I've ever seen on this franchise.

Blake is obviously a tool but he's playing the part to perfection, I find him one of the most entertaining characters on the show. He is succeeding where Ryan failed dismally.

Pleased Ryan is gone, he was never going to be a good fit for Sophie.

I must be alone in my thoughts I think but I found Guys eyes beadier than Ryans! I am not disappointed he is gone, there was something about him that was unsettling me!

he is probably not too shy (maybe more humble) just in comparison to some of the braggard cockwombles he is on here with he looks shy!

...bwahahahahahahahahahaha!... one of the funniest expressions that I have EVER read on these forums Isee!... that is soooooo bloody funny!... I'm still laughing after 10 minutes!... that will forever be in my vocabulary methinks lol!... thanks for the laugh Isee!... lol!... funny as!... cheers.

happy to have made you chuckle :)

...I've been wondering who 'that guy' Guy reminded me of... he reminds me of Rupert Everett's role of 'Camilla Fritton' in the latest 'St Trinian's' movies lol!... see for yourself... do you see the resemblance?... or is it just me blowing smoke?... I think that he could've played the part easily if Rupert quit the role lol!... cheers.

Awww Sophie and James hitting it off! They're so sweet together. James comes across as such as gentle soul. Also if he doesn't win this... maybe he can win Survivor instead! Will you look at those fire-making skills!

I'm kind of confused by Jarrod, sometimes he just seems too intense, but I've also noticed lots of little things where he seems genuinely supportive of other guys e.g. clapping and smiling when someone else gets a single date, etc., cheering other people on in challenges, which leads me to think that maybe he's not all that bad? But then at some point he'll say or do something and then I'm like, okay, dude you gotta chill out!

Intruder Guy's face reminds me a bit of Sam Wood, haha.

I quite like Mackane... I totally forgot he was the one who sang the awkward song in the first episode until someone else mentioned it again, because he's made up for that by being so nice and normal in subsequent episodes. I wonder if he'll get a single date at some point.

Not sure I like the idea that Stu might be a front-runner... I mean he seems alright so far in terms of how he's coming across in the show... but outside of it... hmm!! I hope this isn't a rebound thing for him...

Oh! I completely forgot he sang that song, too. Yoooooou and meeeeeee, youuuuuuuu, and meeeeee... I actually find him, out a suit, far better looking than old moneybags. Moneybags looks sharp in a suit, and from a distance, but he looks very floury in his talking heads. I hope he's having a nice time on the show and having a bit of a holiday, if he doesn't get a date. Sophie seems really fond of him.

So adorable.

...so far James looks like the most ideally suited one for Sophie to me at least... and after her glowing reports of him after their first one-on-one date and the fact that Sophie asked him to kiss her well that sure says a lot about him doesn't it?... and... as somebody suggested last night (sorry... I've forgotten who :sorry:)... he would make a great Bachelor next year if he doesn't end up with Sophie at the end of this... and to be honest... he's about the only one of the lot that I actually like out of all of them... (Mackane is slowly getting me to start liking him too for some reason )... but yes... James nailed his date with Sophie last night so I really do hope that he wins her heart in the end... cheers

Agreed on all points. James is normal, and Mackane is too (he can't help looking like a Ferengi and having a stupid name. He could help that song, but as long as he doesn't do anything that cringey again) I hope he outlasts the posers.

...well if you notice Meglos... at the Rose ceremony Sophie seems to pick Mackane first in a few of them... if not first then in the first 3 at least... I think that she really does like Mackane to be honest so I think that his chances are that he'll outlast some of the 'pretty boys' for sure somehow... it'll be interesting in just when he does... or if he does... gets a first one-on-one date with Sophie... hopefully for his sake... he doesn't bloody sing again!... lol!... cheers.

My picks for top six are James, AJ, stu ( he got a better edit on sbs than he has so far on ten so I am giving him the benefit of the doubt) Apollo, mack and Sam (cos I was the Dumbarse who picked him in the sweeps after looking so promising on night one, so I guess I better be pretend to think he would be the best one for her!)

This is the first time I have watched that I have got this far through the show and actually wanted the great people to win because sophie actually feels like someone I want to see happy and worthy of the best there!

me too! I see his support of everyone around him (including Sophie on the high ropes) as part of the military background and training ... but he's just wayyyy toooooo focussed on what HE wants and its almost Eye on the Prize Tunnel Vision - which the other guys - most particularly Sam and Blake (2 of the stronger & more outspoken - but probably most insecure personalities) don't like it and keep reinforcing it to the others

Has Apollo spoken up about it? Has James? they smile at the others when they are egging Jarrod on but they don't instigate it. They don't need to because they're not as threatened by it perhaps?

Jarrod just really needs to take a chill pill and back right off with the competitive & threatening sounding comments - its probably fine in a blokey context (again - military life) but not so much in Bachelorette world - he's coming off really badly and I'm struggling to believe he really deserves all the criticism he gets. The edit isn't helping.

Without the Jarrod storyline to push what do the producers have though?
