Why does Keira often wear chokers? Is it a metaphor for what she'd like to do to the competition (or Richie? )

Yay me, I'm actually here for a live episode. Kiki is OK but seems to be talking up any connection they have whereas Richie seems to be going through the motions on this date in order to probably eliminate her soon enough. I'm sure he'll pash her anyway LOL. He's turning into such a trash bag.
