Gretel touched on her time in Big Brother tonight. She said hosting a show that became the phenomenon BB did, she lost herself a bit

There was a brief moment this ep where Gretel spoke about her time on BB (the show accompanied it with pics of her hosting), but she completely avoided referring to it by name. I need to go back and listen to what she said again, but it was something along the lines of getting lost in something as big as that and having to step away from the spotlight to find yourself.

"I hosted a show 20 years ago that was quite a phenomenon in its day. When you work in entertainment, you are defined by other people and you can lose yourself. The only way you can fix it is by putting yourself out in the big wide world and just being reminded of who you are."

It's kind of sad, really.
