That Canadian accent is going to get annoying

Doesn't sound very Canadian, well, compared to the stereotypical Canadian accents I hear on TV

His accent's flattened out a bit from living here but he definitely sounds western Canadian. Their accents don't have as much of what I call the oopty doopty doop that those from central and eastern Canada have... those are the ones that tend to be portrayed as the stereotypical Canuck.

Good description! Up down up down up down..... I find that fascinating when I listen to it but it's quite distracting also.

It's not the accent that bothers me, it's the attitude behind it but that has nothing to do with him being Canadian.

For all the confused folks on here - his accent is very typically Canadian. I'm Canadian, and we sound like that. It's true that we often sound like Californians, because the "general" Canadian accent is actually most closely linked to that of the California region. It's been proven in studies, and probably accounts for why so many Canadian actors play Americans, particularly ones that are supposed to be from California.

For the OP - you're a dick!

I'm a dick because I don't like the same things you do? Ok.

Are you from the west coast?

It already is.

Wow no-one better ever show you a subtitled film - your brain will cave in.
People who complain they don't like people's accents makes me embarrassed for them. It just shows little intelligence nor acceptance of people who are different to them.

I find that kind of people young or very immature.

In the ad Leo's voice annoyed me, but he sounded fine in the house.

Oh ans I love all different kinds of accents..... South African is my favourite.

I'm around accents all day. I love it.. My industry is pretty cool in that aspect. I currently have probably 20~ different nationalities around me at any given time.

The nerd in me loves being able to pick up the writer's accent by seeing their sentence structure, grammatical and word choices. It becomes strangely easy to do after a while.
