Episode Survivor: Brains vs Brawn - Episode 13

So Ben just didn't exist - no mention of or reaction to him leaving and for I think the first time they've changed the titles at merge to remove any future reference to Ben (and the others).

Merge was very underwhelming - the tribe swap just lessens it's importance now and I think just rushing straight into it with no build up then straight into the challenge meant it felt irrelevant. They barely showed the cocktail party too - we seemed to cut from scenes of the girls plotting there straight to them plotting in camp.

The Immunity challenge not too interesting too and if PD has had to sit out three challenges in a row he shouldn't have been deemed fit enough to stay in the competition. Glad Logan won though.

Guess the only thing unpredictable about tribal was that it was predictable. Glad the scramble scenes and tribal itself was kept relatively short this week and nice to have a pure vote with no idols played.

There are rumours going around about Ben.

Rumour is he was removed due to racist comments.

People posting that Myles and Morgan don't follow him on SM.

As I don't watch it, they are speculating Morgan reported him. (as they were on the same tribe) No idea if that's true.

Another rumour is it was due to sexual harassment.

That's the problem when a reality show doesn't show you the reality of what happened - the lack of information leaves a vacuum to be filled with likely disinformation.

So far the only account we've had is from Ben - suspect it'll be another contestant rather than producers who ultimately confirm what happened but probably not until any NDA expires.

Didn't he say his had pneumonia, you usually cough etc. (was he coughing)

Logan is grating on me

Me too. I feel like she's aiming to be a Shonee type, but she doesn't have the charm, or the game play. I love Karin, but I don't think she's making it to the end unfortunately. My money is on Kaelan for the win. His game is subtle but super controlled and strategic. I like it when you get contestants like Jesse going home, who are so sure they're comfortable and pulling all the strings. AJ might think he's being charming and manipulative, but he's being so creepy with Kate it's bordering on harassment.

More cynical me though suggests they leave the void of information to get people talking about it and give it a bit of a mid-season boost.

Yes this raises so many questions. It is very very odd that it received no footage at all, and this is the first time they have ever done this on Australia Survivor (not sure about US but from what I know in the one Survivor US case it was explained at tribal council that it was because of sexual harassment). Correct me if I’m wrong @Zcsund1234 but I believe this is a first in Survivor history, in English speaking Survivor at least that someone was ungraciously edited out because they reportedly left on their own terms.

It is even more mysterious that the episode began directly at merge, and no build-up. That seems to indicate they could not use that footage.

This episode was good, the dynamics in this season are quite fun and the cast was well put together.

Zcsund I agree with your rankings too, I mean more or less fuzzily from bottom to top. The people who I want to win at this stage are Kailan, Logan or Karin. But someone like Morgan or Kristin could easily make it to the end if they focus too much on threats, which is a distinct possibility.
