Survivor AU - Redemption

Loz is trying to convince herself that she has a shot...but the reality is that she made that move because she wants Caleb to win over the others. I guess that's kind of ok, but she shouldn't be trying to justify iot as anything other than a loyalty move.

It would be quite cool if Loz won the final challenge. Maybe she sees her game like Kristie from the first season? On the bottom and loyal until the end (in her opinion). Either way, it would be great to see her with a win over the tough men and have the choice of who to take. It would be Caleb going on the track record so far, but its still another bit of a twist to keep it interesting viewing.

I was glad to see the fire challenge too, it does keep the season ticking over. Its not as bad an ending as it could have been.

I wouldn't mind either Caleb or Jackson to a lesser degree winning, although I'm still mad at Jackson for screwing over Dirty Harry like that.

Good on the car curse! It would have been a shame to lose Caleb last night. I wish Keeley was still there.

I’m so glad sally got voted out. Her move against Keeley did nothing but sour her jury perception, why burn someone like that when they’re already going home?

This season had some really good momentum going from Ep 10 till now. Lacklustre final 4, who each imo are pretty weak characters. I’d rank this season pretty middle overall tbh, but it isn’t as bad as blood vs water or all stars. Some may even say better than 2016.

Caleb at least is a character on the show but to me he feels a bit like an attempt to recreate the Luke archetype. Jackson had the tools necessary to be likeable and decent at the game but it just didn’t end up that way. Loz is one of the worst players to make the final 3.

WOW! I did not see that coming. Did Caleb just hand the win to Jackson? I feel like Jackson has more friends on the jury? Its going to be a great final tribal with these two, regardless. I'm looking forward to it. Caleb couldn't see himself beating Loz, so perhaps their game was more similar than the edit portrayed. It does suit Calebs character, to choose the chaos road. Jackson is sure to bring chaos.

The torture challenge didn't disappoint either. I rekon I'd be quite happy to fall into Davids arms. Loz begging for the necklace did remind me of Kristie again. I felt sad for her kids, they just saw Jackson go down hard, it must have been scary for them. Jackson said himself that he didnt think he could beat either of the two left - which is also interesting considering the edit. We all knew as an audience that Loz wasnt going to win it.

After Keeley was voted out, the boys are by far the best possible final two. I'm actually pleasantly surprised.

But this season has gone on far too long, I'll be glad once it's over.

It appears the general viewing public is feeling the same way, as the renewal of the series is up in the air.

I had wondered if casting was an issue. BBAU didn't have the best casting, and the edit did a lot of the heavy lifting for Survivor this season, with experienced players helping it a long a LOT.

I dont think its been a bad enough season alone to get it canned, there will be a number of reasons. The hype with overseas viewers is huge within the little communities who are watching, so its sad that those numbers cant count.

Combined with the poor reception to the new host, it's not surprising.

Jackson thinks he didn't have game for a while but made a big move getting rid of Harry with a sad flint and then getting rid of Ben after joining the returnees alliance.

Hmmm, neither pitch is that impressive...

Well the worst season of Survivor I've ever seen is now topped off with the worst Final Tribal Council I've ever seen.

Oh great, now we get to watch David Genat ride a motorcycle 😒

The episode is still on here, the winner was just announced :D I love the old school reading the votes at the live reunion. I much prefer it as a final episode, rather than drag it out with snuffed torches and monologues. It was cool to see Dave take the votes and get on his bike, total original Survivor vibes. Awesome.

So happy for the winner! I was worried for a minute there because Jackson sold himself better, Calebs social game was clear from the way the jury fought for him. Caleb had better strategy than Jackson too but didn't speak it well in the end.

Great season, lots of moves that I didnt see coming and times when my heart was in my mouth for the players that I liked. Really enjoyable and I hope it inspires some good characters for next season.
