Survivor AU - Redemption

I stopped watching Im a Celebrity. The non live version of it was an annoying change this year, and just didn’t really have the enthusiasm or time for it. If I had free time I would have watched more.

Just wondering whether @Zcsund1234 and @Mr Stickyfingers have stated whether they will be watching Survivor this year?

Btw was this first episode a bit shorter than usual? I was happy it was 1 hour 20 and not like two hours worth for an intro episode.

I told Sticky he's watching 😜

Hopefully @Zcsund1234 too, I really appreciate his analysis and so on.

So far I’m liking the cast. Can already see a few that potentially look a bit mentally unstable and their time in the show is going to be interesting. No hard loss in
Daniel
getting voted out -
he will be forever known as the guy who couldn’t remember names and dug his own grave under the watchful eye of Jesus

Can I say how happy I am that Simon is back. He is comedy gold. And so loveable at being so stupid! Love him!

No hard loss
I agree though, no major loss for the game. More of a liability to everyone than anything else.
Daniels exit interview was one of the best I've seen, so I will remember him for that. I was surprised they went hard on the Christian angle, because that was never going to be popular. He was a fun character, while it lasted. What a great attitude.

Cant wait to see how Mark manages people and if they figure him out or vote him out. I would like to see the returning players get a good go at it, because they can shape a more interesting game with their experience. I hope they swing and hit before the more cluely players take them out. I like all the returnees and am glad they chose that route with the cast.

I did watch the premiere, albeit late at night so I didn't get time to post. I'm over the JLP/David host swap situation now, I think David did okay for his first episode. He was always going to be stiff and a bit nervy but ofc it was his first time so I will spare him my judgment until the very end of the season.

The first episode was okay, nothing like previous season's first eps. IDK to me it just kind of lacked that usual Australian Survivor feel, the editing also felt very choppy to me to the point of being quite jarring. Especially when David was snuffing the first boot's torch.

I did also see that last night rated at 464,000, the audience obviously feels very strongly about JLP so this move was always going to backfire on them. I fear Australian Survivor could be on the potential decline. At least the JLP got to end with Au vs The World.

Unfortunately I am spoiled on who the finalist are so I think this year my intense analysis may be skipped, but we shall see. Hopefully I'm posting tonight. Is @Mr Stickyfingers watching?

It's up against MAFS.

The end of the world could be about to happen & people will still watch MAFS.

Interesting observation…

I don’t watch the show but it happens to be on TV at the moment. Noticed they just showed a snippet of Johnson in the BB finale from Seven’s era. It was HD unwatermarked footage, which at least implies Ten must own/have acquired the master episodes of Seven’s BB series.

Unless it’s acquired through Endemol, which also makes sense.
