Anyone else seen the first episode yet? What do you think of the change in host?
I was happy with it. I was worried too much would change, but it felt like normal survivor to me. Cant wait to see the game unfold!

I'm happy people are giving David a chance :D I'm a big JLP fan as well, but love the show so I'm just glad its on, regardless of the host.

I got the superfan invite, so I've already seen the first episode. I thought a few here might have got it too. They wanted a video review, but my ugly mug is not going on tv, so I didn't bother with that bit. David slips into the role easily. The cast seems fun. A little predictable, but that's Survivor now days! I'm excited for the season :D
 
I am looking forward to Survivor tonight , I am hoping it does well . will miss JLP hosting, but as Character said i love the show just glad it is coming back . life is full of changes . David does have big shoes to fill from the sneak peak i saw he looked great i am a fan.👍 I will comment after tonight and see if I still give the thumbs up :)
 
I'm rewatching tonight too :) Faith is fun! Such a funny line about the return players. Seems like her and Mark could make a good team.

Dont worry, David drops the batman voice by tribal. I actually prefer his accent over JLPs, David sounds more "aussie" to me.

I wonder if we can use AI to completely change David's image and voice back to JLP? Or just completely remove him?

If I ended up on Barren I'd organise for the entire tribe to walk off the show. This is too unfair leading up to the upcoming challenges.

Yeh same. David doesn’t have a great narrator voice like Jonathans, which was charismatic, so will miss that. But on the other hand, his performance is tight when communicating with the players, and he keeps things moving.

I’m invested primarily with the game and all those elements are there, so I’m ok with that. In terms of 10 believing that this reset would bolster the numbers, well I’m not so sure about that . I pretty much think it will be pretty stable compared to previous years.
 
I enjoyed it can i say same same but different , Different voice yes, I think he owned it his style , one thing i missed 😁 so trivial he said one zero instead of one zip, hoping it is a hit for him , i am such a survival fan and a fan of David so yes it is a positive for me
 
I didn't really care about JLP.

Used to annoy me with his mixture of Australian & American accent.

He was a mini Probst.

The sound mix was really weird in Tribal Council. I enjoyed the challenges. David was okay, but his voice sounded odd in the mix in Tribal.

Also, really super underwhelming Tribal setup. What was that?!
