before he even opened his mouth, his glare and the way he looked at her screamed intimidating. Like how dare she have an opinion or discuss anything with him. She spotted him doing it, she couldn't pinpoint what it was, but the atmosphere was tense for her and she felt it. Ryan is telling her about maturity, yet walks off laughing with bimbo comment thrown in there by Sandra, and that mature? He was deliberately trying to throw her off by using her weakness to articulate imo
Even the way Ryan stood over Skye while she was sitting down and the rest of the housemates gathered around them to rubberneck, not to mention Sandra sniggering at Skye the whole time, screamed intimidation. And it all stems from Skye initiating an intelligent conversation with Ryan which is what he has been complaining that she is not capable of since the beginning.
Ryan was gaslighting Skye the entire time. A simple statement made by Skye that bubbly people have bad days also, makes Ryan turn to the other housemates PERPLEXED as to why she would make such an outlandish statement. Cue Sandra's eager nodding in the background.
It makes me think of something Tim Minchin once said about respect:
"I don’t care if you’re the most powerful cat in the room, I will judge you on how you treat the least powerful. So there."
I find it awful to watch the self proclaimed "mature" and "intelligent" housemates gang up on someone for reasons that I can only put down to the fact that they are threatened by her. As for Skye having a big head, I don't agree. She was honest when she said she was popular with the voting public as she has been the highest saved housemate a couple of times, and was voted to be head of house. Although the fact that the housemates are privy to information about how the public are voting is entirely different conversation....

Great post! Ryan was gaslighting. He knew EXACTLY what Skye was on about. He just saw another opportunity to belittle her, and make her look dim. He was seething with rage when he was looking at Skye, he even turned a bit red. I think he is a bullying bastard. He has anger issues.Even the way Ryan stood over Skye while she was sitting down and the rest of the housemates gathered around them to rubberneck, not to mention Sandra sniggering at Skye the whole time, screamed intimidation. Don't forget david who decided to jump on the "let's kick Skye while she's down" train. *smh*Great post! Ryan was gaslighting. He knew EXACTLY what Skye was on about. I love the close up on Ryan's face, as he was trying to hide his shit-eating grin. Like @spygirl99 said, he was definitely gaslighting and trying to get a rise out of her.

Ryan was implying that the bubbly people (like Skye) in the BB house are fake, and he can't relate to them. Skye let the bastard off on the 'fake' remark, but she said bubbly people get sad too. Ryan was clearly having a jab at Skye, who he thinks is fake and dumb. But dumb little Skye was smart enough to read between the lines. She KNEW Ryan was having a swipe at her and she called him on it. Ryan KNEW what she was on about, but because he can't handle being called out he pretended he didn't understand what Skye was trying to sayso sky was not playing the ' the bimbo card' in that whole exchange? she got lost in her bimbo brain and turned it around to attack the one person who asked her a rational question? I dare anyone have to not have a 'ryan face' when dealing with such a bitch
Ryan was SEETHING with anger, he gave Skye daggers. Ryan is an arrogant, intimidating, aggressive asshole. He is a major C*NT!

David decided to join in against Skye though when she was already being pummeled by Ryan and Sandra. Bit of over kill then he walks off with Ryan as a good Crony doeswaching the show I had nooooo clue wtf sky meant, she tripped over her words faster than they were coming out. it WAS RYAN AGAINST HER NOT DAVID.

AMEN!Ryan is full of bullshit. With he's arrogant face, kicking Skye while she's down. That whiney bitch Sandra talks to Skye like she's a immature little girl, when she's the biggest, nastiest, bitchiest, horniest cunt out there. God.

This is the thing though. There's no bimbo card to play. Skye was upfront from the very first night in the house when she said that people pin her as the dumb blonde, and she has used her learning disability to not try academically, but that she believes she is intelligent in the non-traditional ways.
I think Skye is actually quite intuitive and has high emotional and social intelligence. The thing is, she can't think quick on her feet and on the spot, and it's evident when she tries to articulate herself in a charged exchange (exhibit A: Ryan). She takes a little while to process things (exhibit B: Gemma's paddling pool comment). This is what I think makes her one of the most genuine housemates in the house: she's not quick enough to lie, and doesn't have the memory to put on an act and maintain it, and she always says what's on her mind, while maintaining sensitivity.
Having said that, everything she said in that argument with Ryan is valid, I believe. Bubbly people still have down days; No one would give Sandra the same grief for throwing a tanty that they would Skye, and call her immature because she's 20; He was being intimidating and she could sense it. Either Ryan was deliberately playing dumb to disqualify her feelings or he is just bloody thick. I am erring towards the former.
