RUMOUR CONFIRMED: Brazen thieves have stolen paralympian Sam Bramham's Order of Australia Medal from his parents home in Ivanhoe.

The star swimmer, who competed in the 2004 and 2009 Summer Paralympics, received the OAM in 2009.

He confirmed to 3AW Breakfast his parents home was raided on the weekend and $100,000 worth of items were stolen, including priceless, sentimental items.

He told Ross and John thankfully his gold, silver and bronze medals were left behind.
