Sam EXTENDED Interview - SCOOPLA

Nice work, Ben!
Of course, the HM's are going to try their very best to impress in the post interviews. I love that we're getting some missing pieces of the puzzle... I guess the producers don't want too much scandal re: whatever Travis said... Must have been pretty crook.

@Benjamin2012HM I am not a fan of that hair, sis :writing:

Try this look for the next interview pls xo

Please dont because you will be very sorry. Though she is still young and just beginning her career she is already hated by many of the people who have had to work with her through her divaish, self centered behavior. Her asshole gay half brother Frankie was in BBUS and left behind a stench of hate that was more odourous than any before him with the exception of now HIV positive Evel Dick.

And as another note of her divaish behavior, note the angle which she has her face tilted in in this picture. Yes thats right. You will almost always see only this side as she always tries to hide the other side because its not pretty enough.
She's a shitty interview, denigrates her interviewers and refuses to make eye contact with them. Yeah she is cute, but it all ends there. Plus her voice sucks...its off pitch and annoying and I hope that very shortly she goes the Lindsay Lohan route to self destruction and takes Frankie down with her.

Sorry...end of rant. My Frankie hatred carried over to his sister.

Haha, SPILL.

Didn't watch that BB but all fingers point to Frankie being a dick head.

Yeah I love that we're getting some of the missing pieces too but on the other hand that's what shits me. Even something simple like when Sam said in his interview with Luke that Skye was the laziest in the house. We already got a sense of that when Travis was swinging her by the pool saying who cares if we don't cook or clean but if someone missed that one comment they wouldn't have a clue. And that comment didn't come from thin air from Travis so obviously the HMs said something about it. If they're sitting there not helping out and expecting everyone else to do everything, then that would make sense it'd add in to where the frustration with her is coming from.

But then to take it to something bigger like this Travis comment...the way it was presented to us Travis made a sarcastic comment about how much fun he was having, Ryan made the aunty one, Travis replied back with the sister one and then Ryan fronted like he was going to fight him. Then we find out later from David that Ryan (and it seems now Sam) had made a couple of comments. Now if something else was said in that exchange by Travis then it would put a new light on it because at the time it looked like Travis had merely taken the aunty sledge, spun it to be Ryan's sister and Ryan snapped. That's why people were on Travis' side. If he made a foul comment along with what he said about Ryan's sister then it could make more sense why Ryan reacted how he did. I get that it's apparently a family show now but I'm an adult and I want to know if the person I'm expected to spend $ on says something homophobic or racist or sexist or whatever. Whether with a voiceover from Mike or even better, with footage available for adults online. To remove it only makes me feel like he's being protected (whether that's their intention or not) and I'm being deceived. Give us the bloody chance to see the whole situation and make up our minds after ffs.

Also @Benjamin2012HM last weekend there was a rumour that Travis had been booted from the house for violence. Obviously that didn't happen as he was still there Monday but Leo later said "we've already had violence tonight" when he was by the spa. Immediately I thought back to that rumour when he said it. Ryan stepping up to Travis doesn't classify as violence to me so it didn't jive with what we saw. Have you heard if there's more to it than what we were shown? We know they withheld the truth about what happened with Justynn last year as Nathan confirmed what went down so I wouldn't be surprised if something did happen.

BB is PG - Parental Guidance Recommended. Parental guidance is recommended for young viewers; This category contain "themes and concepts which, when viewed by those under 15 years, may require the guidance of an adult". Parents may choose to "preview the material" for their children. Some may choose to "watch the material with their children".

So they can show it, but refuse to do so.

Sam was good in his interviews because of his experiences, and has released his autobiography ‘Three-Quarter Man'

Public Speaking
Sam is a professionally trained public/ motivational speaker and has spoken to; schools, councils, businesses, sports groups and charities – collecting years of speaking experience.

Sam started on the public speaking circuit in 2004 after media attention he received for success at the Athens Paralympics and for telling American media that his leg was mauled off by a kangaroo.

From what began as informative sessions offering a few laughs, Sam’s presentations have grown into a series of diverse presentations. Covering everything from goal setting techniques to life lessons, Sam ties in personal experiences –all of which can be tailored to suit a theme, school syllabus or mission/vision statements.

If you go to the Classification Board page it says this

  • Parental Guidance (PG) – Not recommended for viewing or playing by people under 15 without guidance from parents or guardians. Contains material that young viewers may find confusing or upsetting. The content is mild in impact.
    • Violence should be mild and infrequent, and should be presented in "a stylised or theatrical fashion, or in an historical context".
    • Sex, nudity and drug use should be mild, infrequent, "discreetly implied" and "justified by context".
    • Coarse language must be "mild and justified by context". This category allows the use of words such as shit and bitch.
So that ^^^ would make sense why we didn't see much at all of Clawson but it was "discreetly implied", any violence if it happened because you can't "stylise" or present "in a theatrical fashion or in a historical context" a punch-on on reality tv and if a homophobic term was used.

Damn... I just realised after posting that that I've been bitching on here for the past two years about not being shown some things that they can't even legally air. The whole time I've been living here I'd assumed PG in Australia meant the same as the US.

PG in the US -

"TV-PG (Parental Guidance Suggested -- This program contains material that parents may find unsuitable for younger children.) Many parents may want to watch it with their younger children. The theme itself may call for parental guidance and/or the program contains one or more of the following: moderate violence (V), some sexual situations (S), infrequent coarse language (L), or some suggestive dialogue (D)."

Has BBAU always had a PG rating?

Has BBAU always had a PG rating?

Nope. Back in 2001 the 7.00pm timeslot for all channels was in a G rated timezone. PG shows could only be played from 7.30pm in those days. Daily shows were classified G, Evictions were at 7.30pm on Sundays so PG and Uncut was M rated on Thursdays at 9.30pm.

The G rated timezone rule was changed late 2004 I think which meant PG rated programs could now air from 7.00pm. Big Brother's classification then changed to PG for the daily show and has been that way ever since.

I always enjoy your interviews, Ben and so glad you brought up the fact that it was actually Cat's decision to take Lawson into the Sanctuary and not the other way around. For some reason the housemates forget that it is both of them in that "relationship".

Every person has a different view of their own behaviour, I guess. But what I saw (or was shown) of Sam made me uncomfortable at times. I thought he was quite a bully. (Spa treatment on Aisha/ the chocolate in Skyes' food, trying to belittle Travis whenever he had the chance, always laughing and making fun of David etc etc). But lets face it we are all different. I guess sometimes it would be just nice if the hm's could own their faults, and realise that what we do see, is in fact the way they behaved, right or wrong.

The Parental Guidance Recommended (PG) Classification

Material classified PG may contain careful presentations of adult themes or concepts but must be mild in impact and remain suitable for children to watch with supervision.

Reading that, BB should able to show it, but won't.

Regarding the sex scenes, BB won't show it in a PG rating, but a David Attenborough documentary before hand shows animals having sex.

Pretty sure footage of animals having sex is a lot different and less controversial than two human beings hence the PG classification. :p

The animals having sex is looked upon as "educational" I think in those documentaries.

I was told to edit it out of the interview what was said.
I don't understand why we can't know what Travis said? It seems like we are missing a big piece of the puzzle here. The housemates are annoyed with him and the viewers are none the wiser.
