Ryan Getting 38% Of Save Votes

This forum is not representative of anything. Ryan is the only housemate who fits the bill for the young girls....david and leo too old, Travis too much a bogan, lawson....well hes lawson, jason too gay

Plenty of other explanations.
(1) he has never been up for nominations before - never! - so any fans he has are not all cashed out after voting for him, week after week, like Priya's and David's may be by now.
(2) Nathan Joliffe, the winner of Celebrity Apprentice and general party boy around town, encouraged his 20,000 twit followers to vote for Steggles (I'm sure I read it here, so it must be true)
(3) he is quite cute
(4) he provides conflict, therefore content
(5) he is dismissive of Travis - this may win him some points
(6) maybe he has lots of actual fans
(7) the Frozen Chicken, for art connoisseurs

Priya got 40% of the saves the first week she was up. Travis got 37% last week. David got 30% a couple of weeks back. Maybe people like Ryan, too, and this is their first chance to show it?

Those looked like private school uniforms in the clips they showed early on, so maybe the folks are coughing up, too. But he seems pretty well connected, in the Australian low-grade celeb scene, being friends with Matt from last year and Nathan Joliffe and someone else. Probably Ryan Buckingham! Maybe they're all twitting their arses off, encouraging people to throw votes his way.
 
He was my tip to be evicted, I thought he'd given the least of any of them for people to connect with.
 
He's a very likable housemate. He actually does have fans in here (check out my Ryan Appreciation Thread). He's also been getting a lot of good edits this week - his wisecracks, wittiness and oneliners (people like that thing).

If Travis was the most saved, why wouldn't he be? :cautious:

I think Ryan bringing up his depression when he was teenager, and his mothers illness, got him plenty of save votes but I think plenty came from his fight with Skye as well.
I know a lot of people were on his side during in the 'fight' with Skye..... they see her as a bit fake, acting dumb at times etc.
Ryan's flatmate Nathan Jolliffe, is supposedly dating Ryan's sister.
Nathan was co-winner of The Amazing Race (a few years back) and was runner up to Dicko on Celebrity Apprentice. He came across as really nice guy on TV.
He has a lot more instagram followers than Twitter followers...

I am not gonna lie, I am warming to Ryan. (I disliked him a lot until recently)
 
Did anyone see Tim's interview saying that producers have "artistic licence" to display the votes the way they want as long as they put them in the right ranking? Maybe that's what happened.

To be honest, as someone said earlier - I think everyone was waiting to be able to vote again the second time after the first eviction - but didn't get the chance! Which explains the low votes for Priya, David and Jason.
 
My guess would be that due to Fri/Sun episodes cancelled, there was a lot less votes due to the lack of exposure. He would have gotten a few with his fight with Skye whilst the other four didn't really do a lot until last night's episode, when it was already too late. My guess is, it will come down to who is most popular on the Thursday night episodes.

I also think Jason got a lot of Sympathy type votes after Thursday's show. last thing we saw was him reading that letter to his parents, and being upset on the bed...
 
Is it a possibility that producers would be voting as well or rigging it so that they get to keep the most entertaining in the house? Seeing as how Ryan has been a bit confrontational lately. Lol its a conspiracy lol

I don't know if the producers would vote but they certainly can edit HM's to look good or bad at times, by choosing certain tasks to favour a HM, or only showing one side of the situation/fight etc, depending on who they want to stay or go but probably doesn't always go to plan...
