Reporter Drew

Drew confessed to thriving off the drama that Tully created with him and her, he misses that and so creates drama for others by snitching. It's for his entertainment.

There's no good reason for most of the snitching that's been going on. Not for the recipients of the reports, anyway. For example, why was it vital for Nathan to know who voted for Justyynnn? Why did Tahan have to be informed that Jade doesn't care about her existence? The dobbing has been mostly selfish and a bit cruel, in my opinion.

I believe it was just opportunistic stirring, as the quote just landed in his lap. However, there is a chance that it is targeted tactical stirring - both Drew and Tahan are up this week. He knows she has a temper and a mouth, so if she causes a stink, makes herself look bad, then she may go home before him. Pretty standard reality tv tactic.

And he could get himself out of the doghouse with Jade if he said as much. Take her aside and say ;I am sorry I dropped you in it, but I knew you were safe this week, and I need Tahan to do her rag and get herself angry and evicted. I knew you and Mikk were safe, so I didn't think it would hurt. I should have asked - sorry, next time I have a scheme I will check...'

If Jade came back with a 'I don't know if I can trust you anymore, I thought we were close...' MAYBE he could play the rejected card, that he felt that SHE wasn't as close to HIM because she chose Ed over him or something. Risky, this bit, but I reckon the first tactic could work. Jade doesn't seem to be a grudge-holder to boys.

What probably happened was Drew forgot about being subtle because he has been doing this stirring for so long - I remember the Heidi incident months ago. It is the way he has been playing all along. It's a valid tactic, but probably better to tell someone with a big mouth who can tell Tahan, although he doesn't really have many options because she has few friends.

He was doing this while Tully was still in the house. I dont think he's being tactical. I think he's being himself. He's pathetic.

Drew's just a shady person. If he was doing it for strategy he would go to the Diary Room and talk about it like Tim does.

He has no real personality (another sociopath ala Tully?) so he just emulates and mirrors the qualities of others to get people to like him. That's why it throws people at first (including the audience). He's cute and charming but there's nothing underneath. No loyalty to anyone, no real consistent opinions. He's a shell. And a colossal douchebag.

yes yes yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think he's a psychopath or a narc like Tully. But he is a follower, he's so easily because he wants to fit in.

This side of Drew really annoys me and it's getting worse. At first he just talked along with everyone, I assume just to get along with everybody but he's starting to snitch to everyone now, it's very highschool and childish to me. Would not trust him for one second!

Very different than what Tim does too imo, Tim is honest about being a stirrer and mostly just plants seeds whereas Drew pretends to get along with everyone and is nice but then just tells everything to everyone. To cause trouble and turn housemates against each other while he stays under the radar? Or just out of boredom and in need of drama (especially now his drama queen is gone)
I've gone completely off him now, hope he's nominated again soon and out of the house

This is up there with the most idiotic posts I have ever seen.

I really think Drew is just bored, and it might also be strategic if he can get people to fight, although that's probably not a good idea because it'll put the focus on those people instead of him...

yes but it then allows him to slip into the background and not be a focus for nominations
if he's not nominated he can't be evicted

however now that he's been caught out they are going to be very mindful that they can no longer trust him so he's always risked putting his head on the chopping block ... and is lucky its taken this long for them to suss it out ... his strategy works in larger groups

Oh, I see. He's going to be losing popularity very fast now that he's seen as a snitch. He should know that he can't avoid noms forever and the audience always has the final say. He has no chance of winning now.

On the other hand, someone needs to expose the backstabbing and bitching.

Blaming Drew for repeating the comments is remarkably childish and hollow. Don't make comments like "I wouldn't care if she were dead" in the first place.

yes but then you could also argue don't say anything at all - because anything can be twisted and changed to suit the needs of the teller and his/her audience ...

in retrospect I'm thinking that Drew also had to report this back ... if he hadn't and someone else told Tahan (who has done her share of the tale telling - as has Mikkayla) this went on and Drew had witnessed it she might have then wondered WHY didn't HE tell me? He was there - surely he would know I;d want to know what they were saying about me behind my back ...

so it has also to do with their different relationships & personalities in the house ... because both Tahan & Drew have been on the outer of the various groups they have made themselves interesting to certain people because of the information they can provide ... also because they are not just laying about in the sun but are joining in various discussions and varying groups they can relay information ... they just need to be discerning on what & who to be doing it with ..

in this case Drew has hurt Jade and she's angry with him and will be distrustful of him from here on ... however he may have thought that Tahan is possibly the most likely of the three original female housemates to last longest so his interests are better served keeping in with her ...

at this point in the game with fewer housemates, contracting group sizes, less people up for eviction (except for when there are ties) his strategy is going to be a dangerous one ... but each time someone is evicted from here on in the mix gets stirred up once again ... there will always be someone who just lost their closest ally ... and so there will be ... wait for it ... ADAPTATION needed

omg - I've been listening to Ed .... is it G&T o'clock yet? I don't think I'm going to make it through to 8.45 with my sanity intact!!!
