Ratings Thread 2013

You also need to remember the finale ran for 3 hours, so to keep over 1m for over 3 hours. Is great job.

These are great numbers for BB. I find it strange that only once beside the first week and the finale did BB reach the million mark. I wonder if this is because some people watch the show online whether it be the OS or YouTube/torrent it. I just checked TV Tonight for the timeshifted figures and last Tuesday BB only gained 40,00 viewers. Weird right? where did all these extra viewers come from?
Could curious people just be checking out the finale? I certainty would not want to watch a final of something after having not watched the rest of the series.

for ratings, i think channel 9 should put The Block up against X- Factor and use Big Brother earlier on in the year when there is no competition... and to be honest wouldn't be shocked if they did it

Not much to do with ratings, but just a follow up of a point made earlier about 'opening applications early indicating an earlier 2014 launch date'- just remember they are NOT opening up applications- just expressions of interest/ registering details for news on upcoming applications. I don't know if they did this for 2013, but this is what they do in the UK and US- it is no indication of potential start date. On that note, it should be worth mentioning that auditions were held about 2 weeks earlier this year than last, so the dates for them will be telling.

Please remember, Oztam Ratings are not 100% correct, sometimes up to
50 000 people off! So the 950 000 eviction ratings shows most likely rated over 1 million! And Big Brother had one of its best years in the demos ever! So don't freak out this year if evictions score in the 900's.
