Ratings Thread 2013

Only 445,000 for Late Night Feast.... I think fans are pissed how contrived it is.

Hawaiian party was crap compared to the Las Vegas theme last week.

That's a decent number for a show starting 9:30pm.

Looking at other shows starting at the same time as LNF last night...

ABC - At The Movies got 595,000
7 - Body of Proof - outside top 20 (less than 595,000)
10 - NCIS:LA - also outside top 20

So yeah...

At 9.30:

At The Movies/Book Club: 595,000/ 307,000
Body Of Proof: 477,000
NCIS: LA: 451,000
Late Night Feast: 445,000
Dateline: 158,000

So fourth in the slot, but only marginally.

Not surprised about late night feast ratings. In today's age I would bet big money that a huge portion of viewers just download or watch it online rather than on the TV with their family.

I try to watch every episode live when i'm not working. If I'm working when an episode airs i'll watch it on YouTube in the morning (usually the uploader has it up by then).

Late Night Feast was just like last weeks episode.

Given the apparent interest in the events in the house at the moment and lack of any competition on the other channels, I thought last night should have rated a lot higher.

Also, the gap between Noms and 9:30 a lot of people probably just didn't realise.

That didnt stop Uncut/Adults Only rating well when Big Brother was on channel Ten. It used to rate between 900k-1m.

The truth is LNF is too contrived and soft, which would turn a lot of people of. Also if it was moved to Saturdays it would rate half as much, so that's not an option.

But the daily show would rate well over a million (even around 1.5mil)

So comparatively...

^ This. Relatively disappointing results for last night :( It's like we have an awesome night in ratings and then the rest of the week is bad :(

This was in the days before Multi-channels. Don't forget that.

And yes, it is far too contrived. Channel Nine are being way too careful.

Yeah, the ratings are slightly worrying... It does have some stiff competition with X Factor. But no real excuse for the rest of the week...

Last week's Late Night that was watched by 348,000 had 46,000 more viewers in the consolidated results. I thought it would have been a lot higher - but it was higher than BB itself that got 34,000 watching on delay.

LNF is going to become a very tired format if they keep making it from "a party we gave the HMs on Friday night". It's just looking lazy (despite the obvious preparations that go into the party setup).

What about all the other footage we don't get to see during the week?

There's still stuff being said by HMs that we've never seen in the daily shows or the Live Feed videos.

^ This This This 100%%%%%%%%%%%%%% I appreciate the show but I don't like the way it's done. It'll get old quick!

Late Night Feast would have rated a lot better if they'd simply had the sense to bring back an Uncut type show. I'm pretty sure Uncut used to perform far better relative to its time slot than the daily show, at least during the later years. And I expect the numbers to slide further in the coming weeks, as people realise that the "more revealing look at the housemates" promised by Sonia isn't very revealing at all. No one is going to go to their friends and say "oh my God, did you see those fleeting long distance shots of Tully' breasts, you have to watch Late Night Feast next week!". Uncut rated so well because it generated more discussion and got people spreading the word about Big Brother amongst their peers. It was the only part of Big Brother that anyone actually talked about when I was in high school.

I used to like all the sex talk back in the day. But now i have grown up.
I have no interest in good looking people talking dirty and flashing their bodies, so i dont watch.
Now, i am sure that someone here will come along and say hey, it isnt like that now..and thats great. I can learn that from you and tune in next time.

But what about the many other people out there that think the same as i thought and dont have anyone to tell them it isnt rude and crude?
