Ratings Thread 2013

yeah fair point, but from my experiences, its nothing like that at all...

I agree.

I feel like I live in a completely different country to the one kxk is describing, lol.

"But it's generally the 14/15 year olds getting binge drink drunk weekends" :S

Maybe now that master chef is over the viewers will come across to big brother?

Here's hoping!!

Last week's final numbers with rank - note only reality shows have a different rating per episode, others such as News bulletins and Home and Away for example have just one entry in the top shows list that is an average for the week.

22 BIG BROTHER – MONDAY 893,000
27 BIG BROTHER – TUESDAY 842,000
40 BIG BROTHER – THURSDAY 759,000
44 BIG BROTHER – WEDNESDAY 753,000
47 BIG BROTHER - CONFIDENTIAL 722,000
61 BIG BROTHER -FRIDAY 626,000

Late Night Feast didn't make the top 100 list I saw which means it rated less than 360,000.

The biggest problem with BB ratings is they are way down on last year and the trend last year was for the numbers to fall off across the series. With the finish of Masterchef it is BBs best chance to improve this week I think.

If you look at Week 5 of BB last year you can see how far down the numbers are

15 BIG BROTHER – TUESDAY 1,079,000
16 BIG BROTHER - LIVE EVICTION 1,069,000
21 BIG BROTHER - LIVE NOMINATIONS 1,028,000
26 BIG BROTHER – MONDAY 983,000
28 BIG BROTHER – WEDNESDAY 960,000
35 BIG BROTHER – THURSDAY 918,000
41 BIG BROTHER - CONFIDENTIAL 834,000
49 BIG BROTHER – FRIDAY 735,000

not exactly rare for a series to decline in viewers over time though, i think you'd find it pretty tough to find a single one that constantly increases...
so really it's nothing to worry about as long as it doesn't get too bad...

EVICTION - MONDAY, 2ND SEPTEMBER 2013

918k - #8 in total people.

#2 in all demos (25-54, 18-49 and 16-39).

I had a feeling that last night would be a ratings success, hopefully the renewed interest in the 'House vs Tim' can continue.

Excellent result. I expect the end of MasterChef and curiosity over what would happen to Tim improved the results compared to last week.
Hopefully numbers keep staying up on last week, which I think they might because of all the talk that's going on about the Drew/Tully thing.

The biggest problem with BB ratings is they are way down on last year

Overall a lot less people are watching TV in general, especially in BB's key demos.

Also, consider the eviction ratings you have there - 1.069 vs. 0.893 - and the overnight launch ratings of both shows - 1.618 vs. 1.309.

2012 has lost 549k viewers while 2013 has lost 416k. So even in the total viewer landscape that your talking about (which isn't and shouldn't be the emphasis of discussion), I'd be as bold to say that 2013 is doing better to hold onto viewers.

Can not believe it was so blatantly the Tim show even to the point where Sonia said: "Will you save Tim or will you save the others". I don't care though because Tim is my favourite!

I've said elsewhere. The other HMs could have made it all about themselves by their actions. Tim has MADE it all about him, so he deserves the focus. Note to other HMs = be more interesting!

considering the shows this year are 90 minutes and evictions usually 100minutes, then arent the ratings not as bad as people are saying they are

DAILY SHOW + LATE NIGHT FEAST - TUESDAY, 3RD AUGUST 2013

DAILY SHOW

812k - #12 in total people.

Not in the top 5 for 25-54 demo, #3 in 18-49 demo and #2 in 16-39 demo.

Late Night Feast wasn't in the top 20 in total and top 5 in demos.

How did Uncut used to rate back in the day compared to normal episodes?

Two and a half hours in one night is a bit much to ask IMO. Surely they can find a 9.30pm or later slot on Saturday or Sunday for Late Night Feast, or even Fridays after the football.

I think they should move LNF to Saturday night. It's not rating that well anyway and it would mean the footage is more recent and would help to feel like the weekend is so much of a massive BB void.

Only 445,000 for Late Night Feast.... I think fans are pissed how contrived it is.

Hawaiian party was crap compared to the Las Vegas theme last week.
