Priya v Cat?

I will start with the easy one, smugness, Priya's smug levels are off the charts. Even if you love or hate, surely anyone with even the least amount of perception can see this?

Maybe to get this thread back on track...

The facts are that the three other housemates in the Sanctuary knew that Prisus had been fasting and so would be very hungry. Leo had a hissy fit, because despite not having actually done any weight training he still could not get enough protein from the dinner of Two Minute Noodles that Big Brother provided. Cat and Travis immediately gave in to his tantrum and offered Leo the remaining two packets of noodles. Prisus wouldn't have that and told them that she would be having one of them due to her fasting - as she bloody well should. Cat, having forgotten the fast, disputed this, to which Prisus had to reiterate how hungry she was.

There wasn't really an argument at all. Just a two year old bodybuilder throwing a tantrum when he couldn't get everything he wanted, two people willing to give in, and one person who put them all back in their place. End of story :)

I remember how smug she was during the first week when she was telling Big Brother how she was using reverse psychology so that Katie would take the money.

Every time she speaks to another person or speaks about herself in the diary room. Even in the way she carries herself, the way she sees herself, the way she sees other people, her entire body language and demeanor towards other people reeks of smugness. She has verbalized these high self opinion on many occasions in the dairy room. She thinks she is incredibly clever and strategic but when these qualities are actually tested she proves herself, slow witted, her strategy is 'ham fisted' and overt.

I wonder what they got for lunch?

Leo didn't really throw that much of a tantrum.[DOUBLEPOST=1414733599][/DOUBLEPOST]

She also likes to point out the obvious.

I think you've said it all @Lightning McQueen.

Cat forgot that Priya was fasting, Priya reminded her that she was, Cat understood. That's all there is to it.

I don't see any animosity between them. In fact I think they've been getting along better than earlier in the series when Priya thought Cat wasn't being herself and Cat thought Priya was just saying stuff just for the sake of talking.

I like both of them. Priya just seems to be a nice, intelligent person and Cat (while I don't agree with her actions) is back in my good books because she seems to be doing fine in the Sanctuary and isn't sooking over not being around Lawson or something.

Cat didn't like the fact that Priya schooled her? Or was it that Cat didn't like Priya wanting to take another noodle cup from the box?
I don't know exactly, I just think cat was about to present her opinion and Priya shut her down and cat felt put-out. It's just one of those things that someone as sensitive and non-confrontational as cat would've felt that "yucky confrontational feeling" when it happened, but other people wouldn't be bothered.

Reepbot, or should I just refer to you as Lawson (or Cat) from now on? Please, I'm a David fan and even I can see this is just a silly attempt to try and make Priya look bad.

It was actually a really good example.

Priya - "I'm a super strategist, I'm so smart and sneaky I will have Katie eating out of my hand with my masterful ruse"

Cut to next scene where Kaite is completely aware of what Priya is trying to do and succinctly describes it.

This. End of.

I wonder if Cat is still not sooking now after being stuck in the Sanctuary for three days? Everyone has a breaking point.

Don't you think Cat likes confrontation? I've always felt that Cat likes to be confrontational in situations that she knows she can control.

I'm sure she'll be fine. If she has been sooking though, they would definitely show us that next week.

Well she will be fine, like the rest of the Sanctuary housemate. But I bet the producers are hoping for a Cat sook, because a Cat sook would be very entertaining to watch. Infact out of the four Sanctuary housemates, Cat would be the one to have the most entertaining sook.

Yeah I've actually thought that. She doesn't like confrontation in that she finds those situations abrupt and awkward and let's it get to her (the crying, "I wasn't being intentionally malicious" thing with Lisa I think). And she lets it get to her so much that she then can't let it go and tries to bring it up again, so backwardly creates more confrontation for herself. She's not able to brush stuff off like david can. Or even everyone else in the house. Although I think she's grown a lot over her time in the house and has become more and more able to deal with tricky situations that require conflict/a difference in opinion. I've thought that she is becoming more and more bossy and in-control (or at least a self-inflated sense of it)

Maybe she thinks that issues inside the house are nothing compared to what she will face outside of the house for the Clawson situation?

She certainly has grown alot during her time in the Big Brother house. She grew another housemate! Luckily Dr Ryan performed surgery on her and now she is recuperating in the Sanctuary.

I don't understand why Cat has fans. She has the personality of a blanket.

The only reason she got the most save votes that second week or so, is because people (Lisa/Katie haters) gave her sympathy votes over her crying. Her engaging in a relationship with someone who was involved is now what defines her, and she probably will get saved again, once again out of sympathy because of the negative backlash she is receiving from the public. It's sickening, to be honest.
