Priya is a (comedy) HACK !!

As a longtime fan of stand up comedy & celebrity roasts, i find it appalling that Priya is a HACK ( one who steals other comedians' jokes/punchlines )
Her originality for mine may be 10%.
Anyone watching youtube for a week can replicate her act and be even funnier.
It's a bit like yoko oko singing "Imagine" and taking credit for the lyrics/arrangement as well.
What a fake.
What a thief.

She can't help it. It's a very mild speech impediment, a bit like a lisp. I think it might be called sibilance. It is very common.

I kind of think that's crap. Not the condition but that she has it. She's all about sounding posh and I reckon she thinks thats part of it.

That's what I thought too. But maybe is just an Indian class thing 'cos I don't think that hissing thing she does has any social currency in England/Australia/USA. On the contrary it's quite annoying.

That is silly. There is nothing posh about a hissing s. It is usually caused by incorrect tongue placement when making the s sound (it can also be caused certain dental issues). It is not as bad a proper lisp, and to call it a speech impediment is probably overstating the problem, but it is not desirable. If Priya ever wants to work in radio she'll need to try to minimize it.

Moreover if you were talking to her face to face you would have to listen hard to hear it. It is something that becomes more noticeable on a recording. For some reason a microphone really accentuates it (I have the same problem myself).
