Let's just put a few things in perspective.

Priya believed that Gemma was her friend. Then Gemma had a go at her, as part of her shit strategy. This was just before Priya nominated Gemma. She had a reason to do so, probably believing that Gemma didn't give a rat's ass about her (who knows for sure the truth...)

A week later, when it came time for eviction, there is a strong possibility that Gemma and Priya made up strongly, or that Priya spontaneously (and by that I mean without an apology from Gemma) felt remorseful for nominating. In any case, a week is a long time in that House. Priya standing behind Gemma, whilst I'm sure did have some strategy motivation, was also clearly motivated out of empathy.

For what you've called stabbing in the back, a lot of OTHER housemates do WORSE. Prior to nominations, Leo has twice hugged Priya kindly. He then goes in there and nominates her. This turn around is a matter of minutes, not a week. Clearly, that is much worse. Ryan also nominated Travis when Travis still believed that they were bros. I'm not sure if that's because of Travis' stupidity, or Ryan sneakily kept it from him, but the same principle applies, to a degree.

My point is: of all the backstabbing in the House (which is to be expected, I might add), Priya's actions would definitely be at the lower end of the spectrum. Priya's nomination of Gemma was irrelevant in the context of a week. It's no worse, in fact I'd say it's better, than the actions of Leo and others.

But that's precisely WHY I love her. She's more than willing to play the game, but that doesn't mean she doesn't care about the people she plays it against. Prisus is clearly very close to Marina and Aisha, but she still tossed them points as HOH to ensure that there were 7 nominees and not just 5. She is able to separate her emotions from the decisions she makes to further herself in the game. She's not the first housemate to play the game in this way.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE radiates from her very core and she very much cares about the people she's living with, even when they rub her the wrong way.

This. And also, Priya most likely didn't stand behind Gemma to try to save her from eviction; she did it so that Gemma wouldn't be left standing alone with everyone against her. That just shows what a compassionate person Priya is.

Katie & Priya nominated Gemma/Jake. Katie nominated them because of Gemma saying she has attitude (In the money situation). Priya nominated them because she hasn't bonded with Jake. She had nothing against Gemma during nominations, she even said she has definitely bonded with Gemma, and was only supporting the nomination because of her not bonding with Jake and Katie's reasoning. Why would she have stood behind Jake, considering she clearly stated that they did not bond at all??
 
We have people over for Melbourne Cup and yet here I am checking this bloody forum. I keep waiting for someone to say that there was a mistake yesterday and we have to keep voting tonight. Feels so strange that there's a double and Priya's safe... let alone a triple. Also even scrolling through Twitter, all the support that's picking up for Priya. It's like is this some sort of prank?! After two months and from being up against it as soon as they were offered that cash, somehow she has not only managed to survive but she's picking up momentum! FINALLY people are starting to see what we have from the beginning.

Fingers crossed she's safe this week but even if she's up, I know we can get her past several of the HMs still in there now. We just have to keep at it and get this gorgeous woman into the final.

I'm pretty sure you're right unless we both have faulty memories because that's how I remembered it too. I remember Priya saying something like "yeah I'll support that" after Katie nominated Gemma/Jake and then Priya mentioned Jake. I'm pretty sure they had taken turns... Priya wanted Cat/Travis and Katie wanted Gem/Jake.
 
Congratulations Prizus Freaks, after the scare of last week the producers were successful in milking you to make sure that a repeat performance did not happen. :thumbsup:

Hope you still plenty in reserve for the following weeks tho. :whistling:

You should know better after last year. There's plenty more where that came from. Not only that, we're nearing the end of what could be the last BB we ever see in this country. If now's not the time to end this franchise on a high but driving a non stereotypical married woman into the final, then it never is. Don't you feign worry about us... it's all or nothing Connie.

Not that I am in any way some kind of nerd, but... Priya did not nominate Gemma. That was during the pairs' nominations, and the nominations were made by Katie. She nominated Jake and Gemma; and Priya nominated Travis and Cat. Some of the other pairs made mutually agreed nominations. Those two made individual nominations.

I remember, because neither were particular with the others nominations.. Katie being close with Travis and Priya being close with Gemma, but they put through the others nominations to make sure there's got put through.
