I love priya!

There is a part in the book thief where Jewish people are being paraded in front of the German people, malnourished and dehumanised to humiliate them, and there is this old man who keeps falling to his feet while the crowd just watches on. One German man offers bread to this man and helps him to his feet, he is so grateful. The guards whip the man but death arrives and says that the man was happy to die a human. The small act of offering him bread and being looked at as if he was human was all the man wanted.

For some reason what priya did tonight reminded me of this scene. It was a very cruel way of being voted out and it was humiliating to stand there and listen to hm's not saying your name... priya treated Gemma like a human being and that was a beautiful thing to see.

Kylie BrummellThat whole stand behind your choice thing was just cruel and unnecessary. Good on Priya for going against the pack. It was obvious who everyone was going to choose there was no need to humiliate Gemma.

Can anyone tell me what Priya gave as her reason?. I missed half of it. It was a very kind thing to do. It will not hurt Priya's own game either - but she deserves any benefit she gets.
