No Big Brother on Friday, Sunday.

I would intensely dislike if they changed it closer to the U.S. format. No offence, but far too much 'alliance' chat for my liking. That's basically all you see.

Also BB is an 'off ratings season' show there, it's in our ratings season here.

Although @Goon did say prior to the season that it would run past the end of ratings season here - doubt that will happen though.

True.. but the summer season is being significant as the years go by..Big Brother in the States havent gotten canceled yet and I think the content of presentation is what screwing the BBAu fans out of a good show.

Yeah I can see the day coming when ratings seasons will be all year round. I just don't know how or when or which station will be the first to sink some decent non-sporting programming into the summer slots.

ESPN US just started to show Footy and the Grand Finales...America is slowly being introduced to other media besides the "American" one.. I'm grateful for that because I thought some of the shows I've watched was created in the States and they were actually adapted from EUROPE AUSTRALIA etc..

It's the end of the world show as we know it

It's the end of the world show as we know it, and I feel fine. :bawling: :wtf:

Yeah, CBS is too concerned with Survivor and The Amazing Race to give Big Brother the treatment that Ten gave it. Plus, people went a little too crazy in Season 1.[DOUBLEPOST=1413343851][/DOUBLEPOST]
I don't really understand the logic in replacing it with MOVIES?!

Bond sells.

Marina first week in and its axed poor chap

Well, writing is on the wall BB will finish early this year (or be pushed to the furthest regions of TV scheduling), mass evictions and a beer and cheque for the winner

Well this series of BB is one or two weeks early to end.. another double eviction is happening next week..ugh lol

It is pathetic!

The whole season so far has been with the way they are running it

when Big brother is not on I don't watch nine at all
and the rate it is going they will cut it down to 2 nights a week and who is going to be bothered watching that .

You'd be surprised. Three nights a week is pretty darn good here in the States.

I just don't know why this season is so flat, at least to me, compared to last year. But I've had that feeling since Day 1. Maybe the pairs thing coupled with the stupid diner just turned people off and this crowd isn't nearly as charming as the last group? Maybe the lack of any live content just makes it slouch more obviously scripted? We're people turned off by Gemmas eviction?

They just seemed to be having more fun last year and this year they were really just mean.

I've mentioned this a few times, but I distinctly remember last year there were a number of threads with people urging votes for their favorite player, I just don't see the discussion that shows people are voting like they did last year. I could be missing it though. Ratings are an important measure but number of votes has to be an important internal view for the channel on the shows popularity.

Maybe the time change matters? I know in a US, a successful show doesn't get a constantly changing time slot.

THIS is why I'm looking forward to 'Life In a Glasshouse' on Network Ten next year! It's going to be like the good old Big Brother days but it just won't be called Big Brother. More or less the same thing though...

AND THEY WILL HAVE LIVE FEEDS!

"There have been rumours suggesting that Network Ten in Australia are considering producing a local edition of the show set to air in mid 2015. The show will be called "Life In A GlassHouse" to avoid confusion with The Glass House; an unrelated comedy/talk show on the Australian ABC.

If program does go to air there will be 3 episodes a week. The first for the weekly challenge, the second for the house's limbo vote and third for the elimination with each of the episodes having a live element to reveal the results of the event that occurred in that episode. Additional programming for the show (such as limited Live Feeds) will air on Ten's companion channel 11."

And for those who haven't heard of it before...

"The Glass House featured 14 strangers living in a house made of glass, with cameras recording their every move. At selected days and times, viewers can watch a live feed into the house. There is a weekly eliminations, in which the public decides which of the contestants are eliminated from the game. Aside from choosing who is eliminated, viewers also dictate what the contestants wear, where they sleep and what they eat.[4] While in the house, the contestants will split into two groups and compete in various physical and mental competitions.[5] The captains of the two teams are the two contestants who have received the fewest number of votes from the public. After losing a challenge, the captain of the losing team is sent to limbo, along with a second member of that team which is voted on by the house. While in limbo, the public will vote which of the two contestants deserves to go back into the house and which one should permanently be eliminated from the game. The contestant with the fewest votes is eliminated, while the other will return to the house."
