I wouldn't be using Whirlpool as a reference point for the rest of the male population, they are a wretched bunch over there.

I don't mind Jenna and Joanna, they are probably a good balance to each other. Joanna's husband runs a facebook group and mentions the goings on at MKR a bit but no spoilers.

I know what you mean about Whirlpool....

I just screw my face up when I hear about her every time she's mentioned in the MKR thread over there..

They're pretty funny to watch.

It's a nice addicting train wreck of a show :)
 
Whirlpool - such a bizzaro place!

It's so fantastic for techie stuff, couldn't live without that.

And some of the sections have awesome discussions.

It's good for shopping advice too.

But the rest - weirdos, with really closed minds so very strange, and often so very ignorant. It's weird as you would expect more interesting minds to hang out there.

Like I have been to the acne thread for advice for teens - and they are just stuck, stuck in peroxide and heavy meds, and i dared to say, stop with the severe stuff I'm not looking for acute acne advice.....but you can't pull them out of the box they block themselves in.

...to be honest... I couldn't tell you... same same just different people... at least when they were doing it at each others places they could pick shit out of what each other presented... MKR treats these people as if they are master chefs... they're not... they're just people that think they can cook...

...some of the stuff that they dish up is magnificent but not top quality stuff that chefs are used to eating... some of them come close... but they aren't chefs... they are people that cook... but you can't tell Channel 7 that obviously... but that's how they present it... as if they are chefs... oh well... it is just a TV show so I shouldn't be too critical I suppose...

... the Ads for the 'hold it!'... turned out to be that one of them had to step out in the last 15 minutes to finish the meal... BIG WHOOP!... oh gosh!... such drama!... seriously I would've preferred if one of them them did fart and the other lit it... at least it would've been a giggle for a few minutes... if they continue to push that dramatic shit in the Ads like that I may stop watching because it always turns out to be nothing... but as I said before... 'it is just a TV show so I shouldn't be too critical I suppose'...

...I really do hope that the show goes from strength to strength... cheers.
 
The editing in the ads is ridiculously misleading. Along with the staged interruption Mr Sticky mentioned, bits & pieces were chopped & changed around to make it seem like Smiley Sam had done something horrendous. Sophia & Ashlee's "I've seen more intelligent 3 year olds" was placed so that we thought it was about them, but it occurred much earlier, directed at the Italian friends. I don't really appreciate the manipulation. I'm going to watch it anyway, but the deception makes me enjoy it less.

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT SUCKED ME IN. But I missed the show tonight.... I was so wanting to watch it due to the dodgy editing which made it look like something had gone wrong.

I've decided I love Jake and Elle. They entertained me all night.

I can't remember the husband and wife's name who cooked the pears but they grate.

I wish Braces would talk less because I am sure she is spitting in her food when she does. And excuse me but actually wringing out meat with your hands? It makes me nauseous to watch them cook. And I am relatively sure Ashlee (?) has never once smiled. Ever.

I do hope Sam and Chris (I think) win the showdown tonight. Cook some food, boys!! I'd much prefer them to go through than the "nerds".

And Jenna? A tutu??!! Come on! Oh well. Each to his own. But still loving this show. :D
 
I'm with you [MENTION=936]CaspersMum[/MENTION], I loved Jake and Elle last night too.

Carn boys!!!! Hope Sam and Chris do well in the Sudden Death Cook-Off!!!
 
Jake and the Cabramatta girls remain my favourites.
And Jake is blossoming isn't he - he's friggin funny....he needs to stay to the end for the fun factor, and I love the sibling banter.

That poached pear couple are hideous, she's a mean hard thing, and he's big lump of wishy washy.

I like the nerd woman, and think she would be more interesting to keep, but who cares who gets through none of them are great cooks it's all hit and miss.
 
Isn't this show amusing.

Watching foodies try to pretend that a scallop on top of blood sausage is cuisine was quite fun

What would make the show even more fun if you like, would be say 15 minutes into cooking a dish if everyone stops and moves one bench to the left :)

BTW doesn't the set look just like Masterchef's kitchen

Last night was a good show. I just really can't stomach Braces and Ghastly much more. "Babe! Babe!" Ugh. But it was amusing to watch them fight! I figured it would kung fu at 20 paces if it had gone on longer. Methinks Ghastly has a mouth like a trucker. NTTATWWT. Lots of bleeping going on.

Cupcake needs to HTFU! Some of these people must have never had anything bad said to them about their cooking before.

Yeah they are my faves too.

Older couple lady has something weird going on with her hair, it was like she had curly moustache sideburns.

This series is so different than the last one, last one had several couples who were clearly talented amateurs, this series seems to have two or three who are ok but not outstanding.
