Remember Michael has repeatedly made up stories in the house when he needed to. Like explaining the reduced food budget to when Layla's bag was replaced. So this could be another one of his "stories" that he has put his friend up to spreading for some strategic purpose or just for shits and giggles.

Just think, what if this story is the cover story. Better than what really happened.

- cuts his own hair
- has 1 or 2 girlfriends

Most of my posts about Michael are about his hair so this explains a lot.
