Meet Zach and Dave (BB06)

Meeting Zach

Brisbane’s Powerhouse Farmers Markets a success - Noosa Market Cancelled

Brisbane’s Powerhouse Farmers Markets on Saturday 25th August was so successful there's no meat left for Sunday's Noosa Market - we've had to cancel. Back there next weekend though.

So if you missed the Brisbane Market - sorry but you missed a chance to meet Zach. :(

Very pleasing to hear of the great success in selling ALL the supllies of meat @ today's Brisbane Powerhouse Farmers Market

Am about to sms friends now on a flight up to Noosa who were planning a visit to the Market tomorrow:(

StillDavidFan, with reference to the online delivery of the meat packages to Melbourne bayside suburbian area's (my postcode is not eligible atm), are you able to advise, when delivery is likely to commence?

Zach comes from Echuca, a town on the Murray river that started as a Victorian rival pont and pub to Moama, the paddle steamer pont and pub on the NSW side of the river.
Echuca rode the sheep's back into existance and on to being the largest paddlesteamer port in inland Australia, because it was the closest point on the Murray to Melborne. Another of its important claims to fame is that it is the southernmost point of the long paddock.
If it were not for the development of railways, and the 1890 depression (due to sheep killing drought), Echuca would be the capital city of Australia.
As it is, it is 210km North of Melbourne and home to 11,700 people.
I don't wish to imply that the town that gave us fabulous men like Zach Douglas and Travis Fimmel is anything less than utterly urban but, in all honesty, you don't have to go far from it to see sheep. More than 11,700 sheep. That is probably why Zach calls himself a country boy.
