Masterchef Australia 2015

...hahaha!... that Asian girl would have been pure dynamite on that show... it's a shame that she didn't get through... the drama that builds up on this show is needed to provide overall entertainment but I have already noticed that it's nowhere near as bad as the contrived dramas over at MKR... especially the last 10 seconds 'plating up' type of bullshit that happens on MKR all of the time... the emphasis seems to be on the actual cooking of the dishes and not the nasty looks and dislike of each other on MKR... overall from what I've seen so far... I like it!... I will continue to watch it methinks!... cheers.

What would be your (anyone) ideal 7 dominant ingredient lasagne?

Smoked Salmon
Mozzarella
Ricotta
Shiitake
Potato rather than pasta for me (cheating maybe)
Capsicum
Spinach

I'm very boring when it comes to lasagne LOL. Bechamel, tomato/meat sauce and loads of cheese :P

Tonight's episode made me wonder which parts of already delicious you mess with for Masterchef, as regular lasagne is already very nice. It is hard for the contestants, as sometimes a guest chef would want invention, and tonight he liked crispy corner conventional.

...Marcus is a doofus... he has no talent for this show at all... he needs to go... he can take his fingernail with him on the way out... what a twat... cheers.

I disliked him ever since he labelled himself 'a creative' early on. I feel a bit sorry for him now, potentially being the worst contestant ever.

That fish naming challenge was terrible. The mirror dory is excusable, but the others were obviously wrong. Flounder?? Whiting? Noooo.

May be very simple, but this is what I use to make my lasagne(excluding spices)
Beef mince
Spinach
Cream Cheese
Pasta
Pureed Tomatoes
Cheese (mix of Tasty Mozzarella and Parmesan)
Bacon

And I gave up after the double episode last night... I think on the back of MKR I just been Sous vide, confited, soiled, pannacotta-ed and deconstructed to death!

...I really don't know how that dingleberry Marcus got this far... he should have never been there when two girls had to drop out before in that cook-off... I wish that the crazy Asian girl had of taken his place instead... it would've been more fun to watch with her in it methinks... cheers.

I don't like the show, so rarely watch it but I did see the fish naming and filleting challenges. I stopped watching after that. Who was eliminated and did that blonde girl (Georgia?) get through?

Yeah I think I'm back on board with Masterchef this year, after a two year break. Hot N Cold is the theme song again, it's just like old times. Didn't succumb to the MKR soap opera set in a cooking competition even once this year.

I thought Marcus was entertaining in his ideas and attitudes. Just not practical enough for this competition.

Oh I really liked Marcus, I'm sad that he went... Yes yes I know he was not a good cook compared to the others and his silly idea of doing the pasta for the team challenge was what got him and his team into elimination.... Oh well, he tried his best.

Yes, I really liked Marcus too but he failed to squeeze out at least one mandatory teardrop and fell woefully short on the obligatory sob story blubfest. Alas, he was doomed. I loved his quirky personality and ideas.

"All the elements have to come together to create a perfect balance"

How many times are we going to hear that this season on MC?
