Masterchef 2017

It really annoys me that the judges give precedence to how food LOOKS over how it tastes. So Pete's dessert was delicious, but boo hoo, they didn't know if it was a cake or a trifle. Who CARES as long as it tastes good? It was a "make anything" challenge. Luckily he wasn't in danger, but it shits me that they had to make their point and make him feel bad anyway even though they shovelled it all into their snouts.

...it's looking like Arum is going to kill this easily tonight... he seems so focused doesn't he?... I hope that he does really well... he wants to serve his food in pubs so Gary and George will forever look down upon him from this night onwards now because that's not 'elitist' enough for the winner of this show is it after all?... cheers.

Just like they did with Matt last year because his dream was a "lowly" food truck :(. I was devastated when he didn't win although I did actually like Elena too.

...as I said earlier Meglos... it boils down to the fact that Gary/George and Matt are complete food snobs and won't settle for nothing else but food wankery at it's most ridiculous state at times... I had to laugh that they said at the beginning of the week that "it's back to basic home cooking all of this week blah blah blah!"... yeah sure... they put all of the fancy whatsamagidgets away so that they had to do 'basic home cooking' only... 'basic home cooking' my arse!... I have NEVER seen fancy-arsed dishes served up like the things that they produced ANYWHERE like that in anyone's house that I've ever dined at lol!... what a rort!... as I said and still say... they are food snobs!... simple as that... cheers.

...hi lynn-ann... it's great to see you... hahaha!... God forbid it if Matt had won that... imagine them having to stand it if their grand Masterchef winner pulled up outside the Channel 10 studios every day and tooted his horn and shouted out "come and get it!"... lol!... they would have pink kittens!... it would be soooooo below their snobbish standards wouldn't it?...

...it's like tonight... Benita wanted to win it so that she could host 'ladies high tea lunches' or whatever... they would never had allowed her to win just as much as they'll never allow Arum to win it because he just wants to serve his meals in pubs of all things... if he said it was for serving meals in 'Boutique Bars' he may have had a chance but... a pub?... no way will they allow him to win it either... his dream is way beneath them and their snobbish standards that's for sure... cheers.

I really like Arum. Enjoyed watching Ben work so intensely and with precision last ep. I like Brian, Sarah, and Callan, Michelle (no savoury is a worry, but should be fun in Sweets Week), Trent, and both Sams, but there are far too many women with the same colour hair. How am I supposed to tell them apart?!

...hi Melore... four of those people that you like are my four favourites in the show too!... Bryan/Sarah and Callan in the final 3 would be pure heaven for me... cheers.

...hey all... you all know of course that I'm not the type to whinge or moan or scream or rant or say anything childish and NEVER chuck a tanty in my posts being that I'm so placid and so quiet spoken as I am... BUT!... I would love to see a slight change in the Masterchef format of how the show is run just to make it so that Gary and George (not so much Matt) cannot rig who is going home or not by taking out their obvious swaying of the votes as they do when they want somebody that they don't like out of the competition with using lame reasons to get rid of them so easily... it's quite simple really...

(1)... there are 3 hosts... Gary... George and Matt... that's a given right?...
(2)... each night only one of them hosts the show... each of them take hosting the show in turns... (let's say that it's Matt tonight... Gary and George sit this one out).... while Matt is hosting it the other two sit the show out until all of the contestants have finished cooking...
(3)... each of the contestants are allocated with a number from 1 to 20 or whatever on the night so that it is impossible for Gary and George to know which of their 'favourites' cooked what?... their dishes have their equivalent numbers on their dish...
(4)... one by one the numbered dishes are taken into another room by a waiter/waitress or a guest Chef of the night where Gary and George have to do a true 'blind test' and have to judge the dish purely by sight and taste only...
(5)... they then have to give it a score between 1 and 10 right there and then with #1o being the highest score...
(6)... at the end of the 'blind' taste test whoever got the top 3 scores are designated as the top group and have their play-off and the lowest 3 obviously have theirs...
(7)... only after the two groups have been sorted into their groups that it is only then that Gary and George get to know just who cooked what and then Gary and George can hand out their totally honest criticisms on the contestants dishes directly to them...
(8)... the guest Chef can help co-host the show while Gary and George sit out...
(9)... if there is no guest Chef on the night then a waiter or waitress carries the dishes into Gary and Matt so that Matt can't 'telegraph' hints on who's dish they are about to taste...
(10)... the only time that this scenario doesn't happen is when there's a relay task or any other group task... Gary/George and Matt are all present to host the show on those occasions but are NOT allowed to go over and give hints etc to sway the run of things and the final outcome of the task...

...if something like this was set up I believe that when contestants get booted out it's not because of favouritism or the same old sad and boring sob stories about 'living their grandmothers dream' etc etc etc... it's because they were shit cooks and got booted out for the right reasons... the best cooks will be at the end fairly and justly... not because they were Gary or George's favourites... it's because they are the BEST!... well how about that?... I got through this whole thing without chucking a tanty at any point whatsover!... who woulda thubk it eh?... lol!... so what do you all think?... yay or nay?... cheers.

...if I was on there I'd serve up an 'invisible dish' and would tell them that they have to imagine what it tastes like... I bet I'd win an immunity pin or something lol!... cheers.
