I don't know - I hear stories but I work in health so I always have the flu needle and I've had it for 10 years and never had an issue (other than brief pain and self pity). For me, my motivation is that I work with sick people so I don't want myself to get them sicker with the flu. I've seen too many people die or be permanently disabled requiring 24/7 care from the Flu, including people in their early 20's and children. I've never had a real flu since I've got the flu needle whereas I have seen colleagues suffer through H1N1 (Swine Flu) and similar when they didn't have the Flu Needle. I'm very biased but I am always going to advocate for getting the Flu needle

It was so absurd. All of the best ones have already got through, so what do we do with the dregs? I know - let's make them replicate some piece of elite foodwankery that no one in their right mind would ever want to eat, never mind prepare. How about a lit firecracker with goop stuffed inside it, with a transfer stuck around it to make it look like a kids art project? Yeah, that sounds brilliant!

That should prove these stragglers can cook, right?

(Whatever happened to "if you can't eat it, it has no place in the dish?")

I think those who do get something after the jab don't get anything near as bad as full on flu. In your circumstances I'd be advocating for the flu jab too.

...hey all... I've just awoken from a 14 hour sleep believe it or not... I do feel a little better though (it must've been those two Rums that I had just before I went to bed last night lol!)... anyhow... as I said... I do feel a little better than last night but am still feeling a tad bit crook though... anyhow I'll just be a hero and will soldier on regardless lol!... in answer to your question kxk... no I haven't had a pnuemonia shot as of yet but I have no doubt that my GP will be telling me that I'll be having it next week when we have to go and get our blood test results lol!... thanks for the concern kxk and also you other lovely people too... cheers.
 
...thanks for the list oddjob... I've decided on my 3 champions for the series already simply based on the fact that they are the 3 'oddballs' of the show... (are 'oddballs' what dangle beneath 'oddjob' I wonder?)... I'll be following them through the entire series regardless of how good or bad they are regardless... and they are...

(2) Arum:... ha!... I've been calling the 'spaced out eyed guy with the beard' Aaron throughout the last couple of nights lol!... he has weird 'if I snap I'll kill' eyes that I just can't resist barracking for lol!...

(3) Bryan:... my lucky not-so-little 'Oriental Buddha'... the way that he nearly had an orgasm whenever he was reacting to others getting picked cracked me up big time lol!... I can't help but like him already lol!...

...so they are my 3 choices based on absolutely nothing to do with their abilities to be able to cook so far... sure... two of them got lucky getting picked the first time up for cooking just one thing but Arum did two... he's the 'got-a-second-chance-to-prove-himself' one of the bunch... he is already 'on a journey' so to speak... his facial expressions alone are going to be absolutely hilarious to watch just in itself lol!... has anyone else picked their favourite 3 yet or are you all going to wait and see on who can cook first?... I'll understand lol!... cheers.

Hopefully that chart will be helpful with remembering their names from now on. I thought Matt Preston was mumbling last night when I thought he called Aaron "Arum", but it seems that is his name. How daft! (Sorry Not Sorry to any other Arums reading this.)

I'm going to have to watch this later. It's still my second fave reality show, but Survivor takes precedence on Thursdays.

...fair enough call... I lost interest in that show just because Channel 9 stuffed it around as per usual... one day I'll watch an entire series of the American show perhaps?... lol!... cheers.
