Is that a subtle way of asking us how old we are? :oldman:
I am old enough to remember when black and white television started. and I was one of the first in the neighbourhood to have a colour TV

that would have been awesome, what was it like to first view TV in full colour glory?

It was a lot of money back then the TV a 26 inch Phillip with a new antenna cost me $1,000 and my wage back in 1975 was about $75 a week so work it out that was 13 full weeks wages.

i don't think you needed a new antenna to pick up color TV signals, that was one of the scams going around at the time as per the above article.

I needed an antenna as the family tv was in the louge room and I had the TV set up in my bedroom which was at the other end of the house.
