It’s not so much that teddy and Mac have left, but the fact that the audience were told to vote who stays and goes, but then the villa had the final say. The people running the show will decide who will stay or go based on how they can change the way someone leaves. They clearly wanted this to be only about ‘genuine’ couples and since teddy and Mac were coupled on friendship basis, the producers or whatever thought it wouldn’t look good for the show. I doubt they expected the backlash they received though.

Here is an idea. Get people that are more likeable, less asshole types and dominant in personality, and perhaps less model like people who think they have banter.

I don’t care who wins, well mostly don’t care, because I dislike Eden the most and definitely don’t want him winning the most.

Yes the fine print is totally suss.

I think it's the combination of Mac & Teddy getting the lowest votes (which some people aren't buying ) and that the couples decided who had to go, as to why people on social media are pissed. What is the point of Australia voting if they don't get final say? Mac & Teddy have a lot of support on social media. I noticed the poll I copied from twitter didn't show the results but Mac & Teddy got more votes than Erin and Eden. Admittedly only 80 people voted but still.

Maybe it is something that Grant does all the time and it has been a build up of anger by Eden? Very disrespectful how he rolled his eyes and shook his head when Erin was speaking. Eden then proceeded with the "don't talk to my missus like that" to which Grant replied "shut up". Then for him to accuse Erin of setting up Cassidy to couple up with him. That is completely ridiculous.

I will continue voting for E&E after the disgusting display from Grayla last night.

I agree, and probably why I don’t care to vote because what’s the point? I really thought teddy and Mac were safe. Going by social media responses, it was going to be between dom/Shelby and Millie/Mark. And even if it’s a slight possibility that teddy and Mac were bottom 2, I doubt they had lower numbers then Millie and mark. But hey why not let the villa decide...

Maybe that’s the way the show is intended to be. I’m way to invested I think haha. Probably should just enjoy it for what it is

There’s obvious tension between the two boys, so I’m sure there is anger there and it just comes out. But I am of mind that there is never a reason to lay your hands on another person or initiate the idea that will be a consequence.

I guess this is where you and I will have differing opinions and that’s ok. I do think grant should talk to Erin rather than let his anger simmer on and bring up things at the wrong times though.

I must have missed something. You are right. There is no excuse for laying your hands on another person or initiating the idea that will be a consequence. Where did that happen in last nights episode? I must have missed it.

Good point. It’s always a vocabulary twist with these things and you knowing how to interpret that is a good thing. There is a difference between a poll and vote. I didn’t even notice that.

When Eden stood up, dom was in front of him as if he could see Edens temper was coming through. It’s awful to me that others have to take these steps because they think Eden can’t control himself

I thought Eden started the one in the video above. Now noticed that Tayla and Grant instigated the physical in that video. A point it should have never reached.

I get too invested as well. I need the "good people" to triumph. Or in this case I think it's going to be the "least worse" people because Teddy is gone.

Just found it.

Not too sure if there was much in it. I noticed the other 3 (Erin, Dom and Shelby) were already standing which would suggest to me that they were leaving the area. It was good of Dom to diffuse the situation though.

I don’t know if grant was instigating a fight but he definitely decided he had enough of Eden going off at tayla in that manner. That was full on yelling by Eden, really scary. I can see why grant came forward to tell Eden to back off. He could see tayla was shaken up from that

But they shouldn’t have needed to then stand there to calm him. That’s just ridiculous. Eden had no reason to stand as well. It’s an intimidating reaction to throw his power around.

But I agree glad dom was there

I think Eden is spending too much time around those in prison as a guard. He was really vocally aggressive in that video. Just as well that he didn't start the physical confrontation like Grayla did.

Ok, I haven't watched the episode yet but twitter was not happy last night that Mac & Teddy had the lowest votes and ended up leaving the island. A lot of people think the voting is rigged. I have wondered if it is all above board because we don't get the results live.

...that's a very interesting post indeed Fatpants... but in that circled section should be added: "You acknowledge that any poll or quiz that you complete or spending your hard earned money on votes will have no influence on the outcome of Love Island Australia because Alex Mavroidakis will twist and manipulate the result to suit himself regardless"... at least that would be more honest and up front... but who am I kidding right?... cheers.
