Nominations won't be null at this point given only two weeks to go. If they pull a snap eviction mid-week and a housemate already nominated goes, they can either make it a two-horse race for the next live eviction or they add whoever got the next most points.
 
They very well could have had them do nominations so they didn't know something else was afoot.

I don’t think there will be a snap eviction mid week…

If the packing of the bags leads to an eviction, that will be done tonight.
 
Logically, they could go:

Mid-week eviction: -1 (9 HMs left)
End of week eviction: -2 (7 HMs left)
Mid-week eviction next week: -1 (6 HMs left)

And either:
Surprise eviction/s the night before the finale: -1/-2 (5/4 HMs left, and those evicted would be based on who has lowest votes to win)
Final day: 5/4 HMs left to choose from to decide winner

Or:
Skip the surprise eviction, and jump straight to the finale with 6 HMs left.

I don't expect either of these to be the route that the producers would roll with, but it's something I feel would work.

This is weird. If someone gets evicted now, it won't be on the show until tomorrow, but they will be crossing live to them for the noms show tonight. Unless someone gets yeeted on the live show and the noms get used for the next eviction.

But I think something else is happening now, not an eviction.

People need to stop judging to ridiculous solutions.
