tbf that is a crappy shift. Not enough time to do anything useful before work, and it cuts into your evening time. In winter it's worse when it's dark when you finish.

My old barber used to work 3-4 days a week and I felt he was pretty rich. Pretty sure that shop was open from 10-6 most of those days and they had night appointments too. So seems standard to me.

The barbers that work in our salon work, depending on the day, round about 8 hours .
Weekdays: 10am-6pm
Saturday:7/8.30am -5/6pm

In fact it reminds me of a time my partner took me to a fancy apartment in North Sydney for my birthday , im not sure how many birthdays ago now. Luna Park was next-door, but it was while it had been closed down for awhile. Right beside the dining room window was part of the rollercoaster, and I had visions of people having a nice romantic dinner sat there, and then a car going by with a bunch of people with their arms in the air screaming
It was pretty close, too!
