I'm warming to the idea of short seasons as the new normal. Imagine this core group going for 3 months. It's been less than two weeks and they already can't stand each other.

4 weeks is ridiculous though, at least make it 7-8 weeks. There is no room for house dynamics to change in such a short season.

That's a cop out, if you make a compelling show people will watch. Just look at the massive success of MAFS or even Love Island Australia which is still breaking streaming records 7 seasons in.

I dont watch those, are they filmed in real time like big brother, or filmed in advance? I know that MAFS doesn't live stream.

Survivor has shorter seasons now than when it started. The shortest Aussie season was one of the most popular ever. Even Masterchef had the shorter Desert Masters spin off. Most Netflix/Hulu/Disney shows are much shorter than the old 22 episode run. Its just the way tv is going now.
