I haven't been watching much the last few days (it's been a full on week), but if they've really sent Ed packing then just.....wow. This would make 3 backdoor evictions in a week.

I don't mind a snap eviction if done right (and sparingly) but part of the ceremony of being a housemate is the entrance and exit and that has been lost in this new era. There's no reverence for the housemate experience. It's just cheap glossy TV.

I also have a lot of questions about the integrity of the whole thing but that doesn't seem to matter anymore either.

While I agree to an extent, the prospect of multiple backdoor evictions in the final weeks was almost very clearly inevitable as soon as they announced this was going to be a month-long season.

We’ve known since October these were coming.

They didn't have to be backdoor at all. Wednesday could have been a double eviction instead of a live noms show, and then just open to the vote to everybody for another double on Sunday.

It feels like they've just been steering it to meet the outcomes they want, and it's been stripping away the integrity of the show in the process.
