Not sure how sensationalised this is (the headline certainly is) but I understand the article. These “demands”, if true, are not asking for much and are literally what we’ve all been saying since the start - a roof, a couch and more airtime to comfortably interview and host the live shows.

If these reports are coming from legitimate crew members, I can now see why Mel seemed so rigid and not herself last night.

These producers are destroying the show from the inside out...

The housemates have just been heard saying this to each other. You won't find much online about it as it's quite literally used when production pauses on Saturdays. It was first coined on day 6 when the first non-production day came around, to indicate to other housemates that they are talking about something that should be kept for TV.

2:25pm AEDT - More context to the "flamingo" codeword and this being an "off day". Abiola, Ed, Conor and Michael are in the kitchen. Ed says Big Brother has called "flamingo" on him over the speakers several times today. Despite Allana and Bruce coining the term, it seems Big Brother (or at least the producers on site today) have taken to using this word too.

Michael comments Big Brother is "on holiday today".

I‘m still a wee bit confused though as to why they would want them to avoid conflict. Or to avoid whatever topics. Like … AFL?
Can‘t they just televise the conversations from the weekend on Monday‘s show? Isn‘t ‚saving‘ conflict and certain conversations a bit artificial?

Technically the final week doesn't begin until tomorrow. Tuesday to Monday is seven days after all. I don't know why producers were plugging it as the final week last night.

It goes further than that. There’s reports it’s a “production off-day” too, so they’re running on a lite team and aren’t paying enough crew to stick around to man the hotheads, log, etc (i.e. Pete also isn’t on site). It also makes their job easier to edit the Sunday and Monday limited DS segments into the live shows when they know there’s no content worth showing. They just use what they produced on Friday and Sunday night, and don’t record the other days in between (which is why they avoid HMs doing or talking about literally anything).

It’s messed up, but proves how structured and set-up this series is now.
 
Hollys “plan” with Collin that she referred to when she exited the house was about seeing him on the outside, not about their “game plan”
