Leo (Canadian Ryan) Appreciation Thread

Australian's usually find it easy to establish a rapport with Canadian's. We are very similar. There are similarities in the self deprecating sense of humour. I have a beautiful friend who I happily call Canstralian. I have a feeling Leo is going to easily win over people in the house.

And I knew from the get-go (before they even said it) that he was Canuck. He speaks like one, acts like one, knows how to please like one. We're usually a little more diplomatic than our southern neighbours, which is definitely his strategy so far. I could tell he was holding himself back a bit with the Jake bit, and I think Jake noticed. He seems so hilariously threatened by him, probably because he's a beefy version of him.

In any case, I know Leo's type. I'm betting he has a really bad temper when he does get angry, and that we'll see him explode in a few weeks. He'll keep it under wraps for a while, though. Also, I think Aisha may actually get into him a bit if he pursues her. I wasn't surprised that he chose her first, either. Sorry to anyone this might offend, but she's not the standard white girl. White Canadian boys often like that.

How do you think he will get along with the other housemates during his stay in the house? Who do you see him not getting along with?

I don't think we'll ever seem him break, but we will see. I suspect the cruisey persona won't break.

He'll just get along with everyone and stay away from drama.

Do you think he will be friends with Lawson? Or will they not get along in the Big Brother house?

the label could have been indie and obviously he didn't make a career out of it, but I think Leo has an interest/talent for rapping, which is why he asked Jake to perform.... maybe they will do a rap off

it will be interesting to see if the girls suggest a dare/spin the bottle game in the spa for the friday night party lol which will be shown on Sunday

It's too soon to tell, but I can see him having issues with Travis (even though he keeps saying Travis seems fun). I also think he and Ryan will be friends. I don't see him really clicking as much with Sandra or David. I'm guessing him and Jake will get past the initial rocky-road and become really good friends beyond that. I do see him and Priya being really great friends, too. I'm interested to see how he is with Aisha/Lisa because I feel like although Skye seems like the obvious one for him, he'll gravitate towards one of those two. I can't tell how he feels about Lisa yet... I think he had an interest in her when he first met her, but that she put up some walls. I just don't see him being with Cat, though.

Lol I couldn't care less - you can hate our accent. Although, personally, I like the Aussie accents.

No problem! I think it was very obvious that they intended for him to be Cat's man. Sonia made that obvious when she asked one of the evicted housemates if they thought Cat would like him. I wonder if they've picked up on how they need to get her and Lawson separated a little?

See I totally don't think he will get along with Ryan. Leo is too put together and thought out, Ryan is a prick who looks down on people and his quick to judge and dismiss. I think Leo is someone who is totally the opposite. His persona is totally against that and so he will not bond with Ryan at all.

I fully suspect in a few days we will see Ryan say something negative about the new guy, because Ryan will be jealous.

I think for most people it is too hard to tell, but I think he'll not align himself to any one group and because he is very charismatic he won't need to.

Do you mean like Lawson is a favourite to win Big Brother. Cat falls for Lawson. Quick, let us get an intruder and hope that Cat is attracted to him so that Lawson can still have a chance of winning Big Brother?

I see his strongest genuine bond (friendship-wise) being with Priya, but I think him and Ryan have the potential to get along well. Ryan definitely is a little snobby, but Leo seems like the type of guy who looks past that. They're both chilled out dudes, in any case.

That could very well be it. I definitely think Lawson is still a big favourite - he's still perceived to be some underdog, for some reason. It's the whole "magic man" thing.

See I have a completely different take on Leo. We shall have to see who is right. I really think Ryan will be threatened by him and that'll result in negativity. I just think Ryan's judgmental nature would be too incompatible and Leo would not get close to him.

To me it seems like Ryan would while trying to bond with Leo say something about geeks, or put someone down for something superficial and Leo's response would be, 'nah that's alright, nothing wrong with that.' Leo wouldn't respond well to the negativity.

Ryan is laid back as in, he sits back thinking he is above everyone and everything.

I wonder if Leo is allowed to mention to the HM's, that his name is really Ryan, but since there were 2 Ryan's in the house, he chose Leo because of his childhood stuffed toy.(unless that really is his nickname)

He wouldn't respond well to it, but I think if he fed into Ryan's ego a bit, things would be smooth sailing for them. I see them at least being friends superficially, unless Ryan lets his own issues get in the way. Honestly, I think Leo has a similar personality to me, and that's one of "I can be friendly with anyone". It just depends on whether or not he chooses to really be friends with him or not, but I think he would have the read on him quickly.

we only saw Katie's farewell message to Skye and we don't know what she said about the others...maybe Skye was a bit upset upset, and David made some comment about Katie's messages?
Lisa and Ryan were Katies closest friend's, so would have gotten great messages...

Yeah, we only saw like five seconds of Katie's goodbye message to the other house mates.
