Josh and the Grand Final.( **GF spoiler alert**)

OK, knowing the result, wouldn't it be delicious of BB to play the GF for Josh right up until the last few minutes when Hawthorn were 5 points down and had a kick for goal. BB could stop it just as he kicks so Josh doesn't know whether he gets what should have been an easy goal (hit the post) and that Sydney went on to win.

I would like to see this a great deal... make it a punishment for all his face-sucking he has been doing.
 
haha yes that would be perfect. Not enough messing with the housemates for my liking. BB is too nice this year.

The other day, Josh got a mission & it he was successful (which he was), he was told if his team made the GF.

Also, I think the HM's are counting the days they are in the house. (they seem to know how many days they have been in the house)

It wouldn't be hard for them to work out, if they count a week for each evictee and two for Charne. Eg:

FEATURING LIVE VIDEO: Layla and Stacey run through this week’s potential Evictees and what their exits might mean to the House.

Layla says Ava’s exit would change the balance because ‘it would affect Josh if she went’.

“And Estelle, that would be weird because she’s been saved so much,” adds Stacey.

“And then Angie,” starts Layla, prompting a pause. “That one’s like ‘what the hell?’.”

Stacey then does the math to work out the HMs have been in the House for two months… a total that shocks her and Layla.

“Crazy! Crayballs! How’s that happen?” she says.

AFL angst

“I think I’m close to tears not being able to watch the AFL grand final,” whines Benjamin.

“Are you straight now?” Bradley jokes, but Benjamin explains AFL is a big deal for most Melbournians, especially the grand final.

“I can’t remember in my life not watching it,” Benjamin adds.

The HMs toy with the idea of Big Brother possibly letting them watch the match, which kicks off later today, but quickly dismiss their hopes.

Sports report

HMs continue to yearn for some AFL action, knowing full well it’s grand final day.

Bradley suggests they try and pick when it's kick-off time and have a little party in which they just talk about sports.

Meanwhile, Sam is almost finished cleaning the Bathroom from top to bottom and Benjamin is impressed with his efforts.

“Getting someone who works in hospitality is the best thing ever,” he tells Sam.

That's final

Benjamin tells Josh he offered to shampoo the entire astro turf outside for BB in exchange for watching the AFL grand final.

“I don’t even think Victoria will let me back into the state if I don’t watch it,” he jokes before explaining BB declined the offer.

“Benjamin, you will be missing your first grand final,” Benjamin re-enacts in BB’s voice.

Cabin fever

Josh tells Benjamin and Stacey that missing the AFL grand final has got him thinking about the outside world.

“Today is the first day I’ve felt like I’ve missed something on the outside,” he says. “I know I’ve missed heaps of things: parties, festivals, amazing shows, amazing waves with friends.

“But today for some freaky strange reason I feel like I missed out on an awesome day.”

Layla exits the Diary Room with the props for her beauty parlour and the House erupts with squeals of delight.

I remember it clear as yesterday...

The boys are appealing to Big Brother to settle a bet between Josh and Benjamin about the date of the 2011 AFL grand final.

“If I’m wrong, I’ll give you a hundred bucks,” offers Benjamin.

“I don’t want a hundred bucks, I just want a phone call saying you’re wrong,” counters Josh.

“That’s nothing!” exclaims Michael. “Have you seen this man lie?!”

“I. Am. Wrong,” Benjamin jokes in a robotic voice.

Stacey is called to the Diary Room, where Big Brother provides a box of material to make Delilah a special outfit.

Stacey and Zoe go cray-cray over the doggy dress-up project, blinging up the makings of a spectacular dog design.

I remember in season 4, Frizy had to do a bunch of challenges set by BB in exchange to watch the final. Don't know why they couldn't do it this time; better than waiting a couple days for nom moms and evictions (my personal opinion). If it was real football (or soccer..) and I was missing out on the final or world cup, I'd be so pissed

I think there would be legal issues with screening the AFL Grand Final in the house, due to Channel 7 having the broadcast rights instead of 9.

They don't need to show it to us, only those in the house and 6pm news and sports updates and the afl footy show on 9 can show pieces of footage without any hassle.
