jessy_girl's junk food jamboree

Technically a buffet but very low level in the grand scheme.

I went on a cruise and there was a buffet for every meal. Although I preferred the restaurant and just went to the buffet for a mini meal between meals.

Ohhh I always wanted to go on a cruise. Remember being fascinated with the Queen Mary 2 I think it was. Like a city on the sea.

Yeah they are pretty cool in that regard, with restaurants, shops, a theatre, casino, pools etc on board and just looking out to see nothing but ocean everywhere. I didn't exactly love it up and use all the on board facilities, but yeah it was fun enough.

that's the life.

There's an all you can eat in Adelaide called Fresh Choice. It's always more exciting in theory though. Once you get onto your second plate and find you have hot lasagne, cold prawns, nasty steak, some kind of stir fry and piece of fish and a load of chips, you kind of get to the "what the hell am I doing?" stage well before you even contemplate whether to mix ice cream with lamingtons for dessert.

I went on a cruise in 1983. Lemon, lime and bitters was the princely sum of 60 cents. Had a great time, got about three hours sleep per night for a fortnight, ate excellent food and only got a little bit seasick on the last night.

Best Buffet I even went to was in NZ - they had fresh Oysters and Gigantic Prawns, amongst Really Good Roasts!

Cost $10

I think my friend ate 3 Dozen Oysters that night!

I think it was @GROOVER on What's for Dinner?
thanks - I ordered one anyway ... knowing me the zucchini will come out in a pulverised mush, others will say EWWWW YUK ... I'll force myself to eat it just to show them its actually very nice (even if it isnt!!!) and it'll do a disappearing act at the bottom on the trash the next collection ;) lol

Yes... that's the one. Looks better than my reject shop one too.

Alright enough about vegetables!

A burger place has opened near me and although I haven't eaten there yet the burgers look pretty good, they even have a veg one. Anyway, what really excites me is that they have these frozen custard thickshakes. The decadent shake trend continues it seems, at least this is something a bit different.
