jessy_girl's junk food jamboree

But it is like saying to all those poor fat people 'you think you can avoid us? Now we have HOME DELIVERY! MAWHAHAHA!'

Hmm maybe. I don't know, if an adult wants to eat McDonald's they should be allowed to, and if they don't want to then they should find ways not to. I know it's not as simple as that, but my point is that people will eat it regardless.

That's true. But eating McDonald's will undo all their hard work and we do not want that no we do not. Not not not not not not not.

Well that's their choice to make at the end of the day and the responsibility doesn't lie with anyone else, not even with McDonald's for existing and making themselves even more convenient.

I drove past a McDonald's today - I didn't go in I swear - anyway it said they did delivery to local areas. Is this new? Why haven't I heard this? Maybe it's only local to that particular McD or something. Either way, pretty cool.

They have been trying that in a couple of places NSW & Vic I think, and was it a lower socio eco area?
People were bitching they are targetting the obese welfare junk addicted areas. Frankston or Dandenong here i think

Oh really? I almost feel bad as I honestly didn't consider that at all. I am not lower socioeconomic nor am I obese so maybe that clouds my perception here, but yes this particular McD was cuspish socioeconomic wise (not quite on par with Franga), so that's interesting to me.

I guess I can see that side, but yeah I don't know, people will eat it either way. Sometimes I'd order a taxi just to bring me McDonald's when I was at uni, so where there is a will there is a way.

I used to be obese, and in some ways i still think in a fat person sort of way if that makes any sense?

I wonder if the home delivery locations are under trial - try lower socio economic groups in Victoria, cuspish in Sydney etc.

I would imagine the lower income, less hope-filled areas would actually do better. If life is empty, sometimes junk food, like a cigarette offers the illusion of indulgence which promises a reputed from a life without meaning.

I imagine something healthy and a jog or kung fu class would actually make you feel good, but the promise of a Burger or a corner of oil soaked crunchiness of KFC skin with a can of something fizzy seems like it could fill the hole, in a swirl of accepted manufactured nostalgia and the chance that this one will be the one in ten Burger that makes all the others worth sitting through.

Yes, it's interesting isn't it. I imagine it's not random which areas get a trial of delivery. I understand that fast food is cheap and easy and gives instant gratification, but exercise also releases endorphins and can be free, I guess it's much more intimidating and unappealing. But I do wonder why research consistently shows that lower socioeconomic status is positively correlated with obesity.

And also, as the headline says, Tasty toobs, we should have paid you more attention while we could.

I wonder if it's too late to stock up?

Tasty saucy Toobs.

Haven't thought of you in years. Too light to be filling, if you"re hungry. Not quite as fun as Cheezels. For some reason you remind me of the carpark next to the post office in Springwood. And after decades without having one, I can still recall the tasty saucy spices.

I had an idea for a line of 'chicken salt' style salts, called Grain of Salt. I envisioned bacon salt to be the biggest seller. But Tasty Saucy Toobs flavour would be great.

'Have you heard? Toobs are back! In salt form!'

Chikadees used to be nice, and Chicken Cackles (which had jokes on the packet), there's a gap for a chicken snack that isn't twisties or a crisp.

Chicken Twisties are one of those things where I'm like 'Yeah, they're good, but, especially that really big one, but the cheese ones are better. Space food sticks are like that too. Entertain the caramel. Enjoy the thought of them but buy the chocolate.

I think there's a gap for a bag of chips that is good if you are hungry. Corn chips are the closest to making you feel like you have eaten something, as you drag the corn moosh out from between your molars with your tongue and lick the cheesy msg off your fingers.

Now you're getting me excited.
Is that like food porn?
