jessy_girl's junk food jamboree

Oooh. I just ate some mini lebkuchen just a few minutes ago. Very excited to find mini ones. It feels less unhealthy. They are good. A little sweet but not too sweet. (I don't really like sweets that much). And they are a kind of biscuit-cake but quite airy. They don't make you feel full or sick. You would probably find them in a gourmet type grocery store. Maybe David Jones? (Do they still do groceries?). I think you should definitely try them. My friend bought the ones with a sour cherry filling. They are also good!

Hmm ok I will suss them out! I'm sure I can find some, maybe with octoberfest coming up there will be some more readily available maybe.

Vegemite and Avocado on toast is Awesome

It sure is! This was actually got me board with avocado, loving Vegemite as I do I then discovered that avocado isn't so bad with the right things.

I guess not.....
Extenuating circumstances? I just walked 20 k in Hamburg and have had to eat very very bad mainly also unhealthy German food. (Lebkuchen and other sweets, aside). And you dissed a perfectly good clean healthy delicious avocado, for which I would right now go into paroxysms of delight. Who WOULDNT get a bit anxious given those facts...?

Well when you put it like that....

Marcellinas pizza. Do you guys have it or is it an SA thing? Had some today and it was probably the best pizza I've tasted, seriously impressive.

Junk food lies:)

Oh and by the way, if you eat Hungry Jacks, get checked thoroughly by a doctor, for all the usual stuff - you may be poisoning yourself:)

Nobody in our family can tolerate Hungry Jacks, me especially, anything from there gives me a stomach ache and other nasty side effects.
But especially the rubber bouncy meat ( it bounces on cement I have tried/and feels like rubber tyres in my gut).
And the onion rings - toxic, make me sick for hours.

Others don't stuff us up like this, Maccas fine, KFC a bit too greasey, so I can only eat small amounts; but nothing makes the gut hurt like HJ's, what the hell is in it???

Our household is trying to cut back on eating take- away - it is HARD.

I love Big Macs and pop corn chicken.

Thankfully summer food is so much easier, barbies and salads here we come, and gorgeous fruit

Oh but Hungry Jack's is my favourite!

Don't get me wrong, I know everything discussed in this thread is bad news, my mum is a dietitian and my dad is a doctor so it has been heavily ingrained in me from birth, but I can't help it.... I just love junk food!

If only it wasn't so tasty.

@jessy_girl
There is something toxic in Hungry J's, honestly makes me ill.
If you eat a lot of it - get checked, and I would love to know what the hell it is - would love to have it analysed.

Right now - we are eating macaroni cheese from Coles. Coles brand not frozen is yummy, yummy, yummy.

And our friggin dog has lately stolen and scoffed 2 packets of biscuits, and 2-3 kilos of butter, nicked it all off the kitchen bench, unopened.
Drives me nuts, things disappearing

I used to eat it very regularly, at least once a week but usually more. These days it's fairly sparing. I've never felt ill or any specific reaction to it I don't think, is like an instant thing for you? I'm curious... Maybe I built up a resistance or something.

The one that makes me feel properly sick is KFC.

I will have to try this macaroni though!!

Haha naughty puppy - cute!

I drove past a McDonald's today - I didn't go in I swear - anyway it said they did delivery to local areas. Is this new? Why haven't I heard this? Maybe it's only local to that particular McD or something. Either way, pretty cool.

Or pretty horrifying.
